new milestone 3.0.0M3

We got out a new milestone accumulating quite some new major features. Have a look at the changelog on our home page and - of course and as always - at the testsuite which uses all the features.

We know, understanding the testsuite's "examples" is tedious, but we've got good news: The javadoc has been updated, so some things might become easier now - one major drawback of the recent versions we finally eliminated as a small christmas present to all of you. And to create some hope in those suffering from the lack of documentation: We're currently working on a handbook! Don't expect it within the next weeks, but keep up your expectations.

Another thing that might have been annoying (as some forum posts tell) is the fact that we introduced some backward incompatibilities with our last releases. We're sorry for any inconveniences you've had due to this and we're always trying to keep those as low as possible. But we're approaching a major release and have added quite some wicked features during the last months, so bigger refactorings were inevitable to keep the code base clean. We've still some way to go to the 3.0.0 release, so don't expect the current API to be rock-solid, but we're much more stable now and only minor changes should happen if any at all. Again, we're sorry for any inconveniences and hope you're enjoying the new features more than you dislike the changes introduced by them.

Thank you all for giving feedback or even sending us patches. It's rather affirmative to see you working with our project.

Cheers,
Thomas
