As I use Launchy to open everything, I have it in my Startup folder. However, that means that the first thing I almost always have to do after startup is minimise Launchy. You know how lazy IT users are. Every unnecessary click is a loathsome burdon :-) So, any chance that a "Minimise on Startup" option could be added so that Launchy was BOTH added to Startup and caused to be minimised when it first opened during startup? I've arrived here because I've also got this problem. But mine started only this week (14 August 2023) which is a year and a half since the OP. I keep my Wndows 11 up to date so it isn't simply that I've caught up with him. Any ideas? I'm running on a Dell 7420 with Windows 11 Pro up to date. Alternatively, if alt-space is now off limits, what are people using as alternative hotkey?

Good day, I would like to see if Launchy can be integrated with the mouse pointer. If the mouse is just in the desktop and there is no active window, a blinking cursor will appear beside it and you can just type there without clicking anything but if its over an active window like office, media player or any program the cursor disappears. I really believe this will make Launchy even more handy. Thank you for your time.

It looks like, for some reason, a cmd/batch/lnk/... started by Launchy uses the 32bit environment variables while the doubleclick uses 64bit EV. I recently changed computers and am having an issue with starting chrome apps (bookmarks that start in their own dedicated window) from Launchy. On my old computer this worked fine, I had the shortcuts to these in a specific folder which I indexed with Launchy. But on this computer when I launch these from Launchy, they open a full browser window without any URL. I haven't changed anything on my system as far as I know. It is now popping up the Launchy options window and making me change the hotkey. Is there a way to manually override this and force it to use that key combo? I have been using it this way for ages and I really don't want to retrain...

In case others are searching for how to use bookmarks with Launchy now that it's a bit outdated... Built this recently. It exports Edge and Chrome bookmarks into a directory that Launchy can index and open with your default browser. I had the same problem on my computer that has a high-res display. You need to override the High DPI scaling setting for Launchy.exe. It's under the Compatibility tab of the Launchy.exe file properties window, then check the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" box and set the dropdown to "System". That fixed it for me after I restarted Launchy with the new setting.

Been using launchy for years and just bought a copy for my home theater PC. Lauchy is too small to read on my 65" TV. Is there a way to make it all bigger? Attached image shows Launchy on my screen using the Black skin. Thanks if anyone can help. I can mod a CSS file if told exactly what to do LOL. And I can create/update an image file too.

Hi, not sure if Launchy is in active development, but I am also encountering this bug. My settings get wiped every time my Windows 10 system crashes. Luckily I don't have too many custom settings, and I gather they can be backed up...but it's still annoying to have to reset my skin and add catalog items.

I recently upgraded to the latest X1 Carbon, with a 3840x2160 internal display. I've found some high-DPI Launchy Skins (mentioned here and here which make the search dialogue usable, but the configuration panel is illegible (screenshot attached). Any ideas for how to fix?

For some reason, shortcuts directly to drive roots aren't showing up in search results. I cannot, for example, make a shortcut to C:\ -- Launchy just ignores it. All shortcuts to drive roots have this problem. Other .lnk shortcuts, to subfolders, work fine. C:\Users\Lou, for example, works perfectly. I have several in the same folder as the drive links that are being missed, so I don't think it has to do with with my catalog settings. But, for reference, I've included a screenshot of the settings...

Hi, the files are still there - but you are right, the old links do not work any more. The SystemPower plugin can now be accessed via https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akb5I5h6gGa6gi_0G1td200Shwpo?e=7ycZNP. I use this version of the plugin (v1.6.3.144, dated 2011-03-22) with Launchy 2.6 beta 2. The old mechanism to provide localized texts as implemented in the plugin does not work well any more and results in a lot of incorrect and weird "translations". After installing the plugin, I recommend to open its options...

How do I make skins? I'd assume its just changing the pictures but there's some css and other stuff there aswell and I'm not sure what to change. Also, does the size of the skin's image change the size of the skin? For example if the skin is 1920x50 could i make it cover the top section from edge to edge on my 1920x1080p display? Thanks!
