What is LXCF?

LXCF (LXC Facility) generates containers which have full OS environment by cloning the file tree of the host OS.
The overhead of containers is very small, and the boot time is very short.
As a result, we can create/execute more number of containers than the number of guests of Virtual Machine on same environment.

Relation to docker

- Difference with Docker

- Conversion from LXCF container to Docker container

Tips

- Setting that uses GUI

- To increase the kernel parameter

- The container is deployed at high speed

- Snap shot of cluster

Example of LXCF system construction (Works-in-Progress)

1. System dynamically changing the resource allocation

2. HA system

3. Node.js server

4. MariaDB server

5. Hadoop server for Big Data

6. OpenMPI server for Supercomputing

7. Let's make NFV by using OpenVSwitch with LXCF

LXCF Guide

This LXCF Guide explains how to install and operate the LXCF. After that, this document describes more detail information about LXCF (concept, models, etc)

1. LXCF Installation

2. LXCF Basic operation

3. LXCF Concept and Feature

4. LXCF Standard file tree

5. LXCF Command reference

6. LXCF REST API

7. LXC Performance

=== A batch making 15 containers
