I've uploaded the new version 1.1.1.0 in which you can let Macronize a random character (key press step). By using a loop step this can be a multiple number of characters.
Macronize64Setup.exe didn't trigger any antimalware app but Macronize32Setup.exe did: Microsoft. Macronize.exe, the actual program, has 2 false positives, MaxSecure and SecureAge. Unfortunately the 32 bit version Macronize32. exe has 7: Cylance, K7AntiVirus, K7GW, Malwarebytes, McAfee-GW-Edition, Microsoft and SecureAge, Acronis (Static ML). So best is to use the 64 bit Macronize.exe. If you need Macronize on a 32 bit Windows system be aware it might be rejected by your antimalware app.
Version 1.1.1.0 of Macronize released: random typing of characters
Hi Max, Sorry for responding this late. I've been busy on my main project, the Peace equalizer. But it isn't a good excuse so I'll look into your question.
Is it possible to make it so the type command types a string consisting of random numbers / letters? If so how can I implement that feature into my macro?

Process check off step
Great to hear you figured it out. It's difficult for me to help not knowing what a macro does and how it works, mostly because making macro is so specific.
Wow, thanks for the fast response! I am running as admin, in "explorer.exe-Program Manager" and with most if not all values at default. Any ideas? I figured it out. I had to set it to start in the application I wanted to automate, something I hadn't needed to do before. I did check for it the first time but didn't recognize the program name (it's listed as "self service") till just a minute ago. All is good now. Should the macro activate (as in go to) the "Windows Program manager"? If so, it could be that this is now prohibited or that you need to start Macronize with administrative rights to be able to activate this window.

A "Process check off" step is creating by adding a "Program/Process control" step with process acrtion "Process checking off". Be carefull as the macro might be done on another process than you want it done on. Usually a process selection step is needed to ensure the macro is going to be done on this selected process.

You're welcome :)
Thanks for the update!

Small delay after looping
I've uploaded a new version 1.1.0.0. This is an extended version of the beta 1.0.3.0. As this intermediate version was a quick fix, you'll notice that loading a 1.0.3.0 macro introduces a faulty first step. This step needs to be deleted.
The install file Macronize64setup.exe has only 1 false positive. But the Macronize32setup.exe has 3 including Microsoft. This could mean you can't easily install the 32 bit version. But using this version isn't recommended anyway nowadays as Windows is now 64 bit. Macronize.exe, the actual program, has 2 false positives. But again the 32 bit version Macronize32.exe has 8 including again Microsoft. So the same advise accounts for this version.

Great to hear the fix works. I've almost completed a new version of Macronize which has this bug removed. Macronize is very secure in applying the macro to a specific process of the target program. You can imagine when another window pops up on its own (and that may happen) that suddenly the macro is applied on that window. And then things go wrong very rapidly. Therefore Macronize is continously checking if the played macro "stays" within the selected process. Knowing the above, creating a multi-process...
Your suggested fix worked. Thank you for your help. A new problem surfaced when I run the following macro. It has these three instructions: -- Delay 3 -- Left button click (on EMPTY windows 10 desktop area) -- Left button click (in an PRE-EXISTING open DOS shell window) < a Macronize pop up appears saying> "To prevent problems the macro has been stopped. A different process (other) than the macro process explorer.exe (7284) was being activated: cmd.exe (8040)...." Problem is I cannot turn off that...

To bypass this bug for now: Create a first macro step of any kind, for instance a comment. Then add the wanted mouse click step.
Hi, I've found the bug you've stumbled upon. Thanks for reporting this to me. I'll correct it and report back to you.
Am new to SourceForge and Forums and new to Macronize.exe. Macronize 1.0.2.0 installed OK on my Win10 box. Any steps with mouseclick crashes Macronize.exe. Launched as Admin via a desktop link. Select a process (Chrome.exe, cmd.exe, Calculator): Chrome Clicked Add Step Type: "Mouse click" Description: "mytest". Mouse action: "Left button click".. "Relative to pgm win pos" The problem is when I press "Detect" button, a popup appears: AutoIt Error: "Line 34470 (File "C:\user....\Macronize.exe"): Error:...
Today I've been working on a Macronize version which doesn't have delays on the macro steps which aren't time critical. It processes the steps a lot faster. Sometimes a delay step needs to be added but that's not common. In your case you already have one delay step so another after the second mouse click step is only needed. If you like you can use/test this new version 1.0.3. Download it from my Dropbox. Then put it in the Macronize program folder. This is either c:\users\<your name="">\appdata\local\programs\macronize</your>...
Thank you, please get back to manage if you do or don't manage to find a way.
At first glance it seems possible to remove the delays for loop steps (repeat, end repeat, etc.). I'll investigate in more detail tomorrow.
Sure, I imagine that it is something to do with the way I have set it up and maybe impossible to remove the delay, but it is worth a shot.

Small delay after looping
Could you attached your macro file here so I can take a look at it. Perhaps I'm able to identify the delay. It could be that a delay is necessary to ensure that macro steps are being processed by the computer. No step may be skipped by the computer. But we'll see what we can do.
