Welcome to NG-NetMS wiki!

NG-NetMS was developed by network engineers for network engineers!

We successfully used NG-NetMS for delivery of network assessment services worldwide. We could deliver our projects quickly, for a fraction of the cost. We can do this faster and better with NG-NetMS, and we hope that you will do too!

You will see your network as it really is,
Uncover hidden or lost assets,
See what's going on in your network to the lowest possible level of details,
Catch those pesky 'gremlins' and 'bugs' before they ruin your day,
Calm your "network seas" (you will know what this means after you try NG-NetMS) ;-)

Bon voyage!

    Welcome to the NG-NetMS project.
We are currently busy with setting up the project and migrating the v3.1 code into SourceForge repository.
Please, stay tuned for the news from us.
We expect to finish uploads and setup before Christmas day.
    Kind regards,

Update: We are keeping our promise to make the NG-NetMS Rel.3.1 available for downloads before Christmas day.

Clarification: we celebrate Orthodox Christmas which falls on 7th Jan 2015. :-)

The 'tarball' of the checked out code is already available.
At this very moment, we are uploading a liveCD image to our central share, from where I will upload it to the SourceForge repository later tonight.

This .iso image of NG-NetMS system is easy to install and to use out of the 'box'.
Please, see Install documentation for more details.

NG-Net MS Project is interesting. Is there a more functional from Nagios? I wish you success in the development of the project.

We are planning to add performance management functionality that is already present in commercial version of the OPTOSS into Open Source version by open-sourcing the backend (already developed) and developing the Web analytics front end. This would make NG-NetMS almost equivalent to NAGIOS in that respect. OPTOSS still beats NAGIOS when it comes to network discovery, visualisation, inventory and event analytics. We are looking for help with Web front analytics portal. If you want to join our team, please, let me know!

Announcement: NGNMS 3.4 and 3.5 will not work on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS just yet. We are working on the next release that will. If you need the version that works on the latest platforms urgently, please, contact developers.
