Notepad++ is the most user-friendly editor I've used so far. It allows me to quickly write, organize the code and tools I need, and switch between various syntaxes. When I'm building a WordPress website, all the CSS and HTML I use are created with Notepad++.

Hello, I'm using latest version of this plugin and Aspell 0.50.3 Whenever I click on 'Ignore All' or ' Learn' I'm getting this error message: GNU Aspell Error: The file "C:/Program Files (x86)/Aspell/en.pws" can not be opened for writing. Please let me know how to fix it. Thanks

There's another independent report of this on the N++ user forum. As explained in the same thread, TextFX calls a Scintilla API that now returns 1 less character length than before. N++ recently moved to the new API, so this will be reproducible in all 32- or 64-bit versions from 8.4 and up.

After upgrading both Notepad ++ 64bit to 8.4 and HTML tag plugin to 1.2.2, I'm getting the following after each Notepad++ start: The installed version of HTML tag requires Notepad++ 8.3 or never. Plugin commands have been disabled. Please advise, thank you !

I just came across this bug as well. I have a partition table for a uP and needed to turn it into a byte array in my code. When I paste it into a new Notepad++ file or into my Eclipse editor all the 00 values are now 20. So it seems to be happening on the copy since pasting into different editors also exhibits the bug. I also tried all your examples above and every single one of them turned the 00 into a 20. Notepad++ v8.2.2 Hex plugin v0.9.12 After some more testing the one thing that I notice is...

What's new: added: built-in highlight filter that catches most of compiler error messages, thanks to David Maisonave. This filter is disabled by default to avoid an impact on performance. It is recommended to enable this filter locally, right before running a compiler or an interpreter: "npe_console local -- x+". You're doing a great job. Thanks again. I'm not a pro and - as I've mentioned earlier - I've only been using the "Find matching tag" command in XML files. I actually don't even know what the "Encode/Decode" commands are supposed to do. But, again, I appreciate your searching for bugs and fixing them. :)

I did observe a massive slow down when encoding all the HTML entities in a web page of about 480+K UTF-8 characters. The x64 versions takes ~4 mins., but at least the application doesn't crash.

@Yaron, No worries. I used the time to find another bug I could fix in this release: https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/18488/htmltag-1-1-plugin-broken-since-npp-7-7. This one isn't really Scintilla's fault, as @Ekopalypse suggested. It's a case of bad string conversion that can result in passing a RSciTextRange instance with no text while the start and end position still reflect the length of the original escape sequence, so that SCI_GETTEXTRANGE throws an invalid read exception. Sorry for the late response. I suppose we live in different time zones. And today - I just got back to my PC. Unfortunately, I don't fully understand the issue. Should naming the folder and the DLL "HTMLTag_unicode" fix the problem? If positive - I think it would be OK to use that even if you don't provide non-Unicode versions. Thanks again. @Yaron, Re. your GitHub post A Delphi project is no problem to convert to Free Pascal with the open source Lazarus IDE. I used it once before when I wanted to improve NPPFSIPlugin. I fixed some memory leaks and added a new toolbar icon with a dark mode variant: Once I figure out where the code is, I could probably build a patched HTMLTag plugin in less than a week. I see no problem installing the 32-bit release to the old location. Wrong again. I just tried validating the new x86 manifest: ~~~ HTML Tag {'category': 'error', 'details': '', 'message': 'HTML Tag: Zip file does not contain HTMLTag_unicode.dll'} ~~~~ I'm afraid this will block my PR, so I'll have to reconfigure my build scripts.
