Hi,
I am pretty sure this does not happen, when you install to a PC, where OpenSong has not been running on before and you use a clean user profile. By this I mean, you have default privileges and access to all the locations you should have access to. Also this implies that you have not copied files and folders related to OpenSong from a different machine or from a different user, that had been running OpenSong before, or copied files not created by or for OpenSong into folders OpenSong (the installer or the program) created.

Did you run the installer provided here on SourceForge, or did you get it from somewhere else?

Did you run the same or a different version of OpenSong before the installation mentioned above with your current user profile?

Did the current version of OpenSong run at least once without this error, or did you get this error the first time you started OpenSong after the installer run?

The error indicates OpenSong fails to search for Bibles. OpenSong searches the following folders (Names in angle brackets are placeholders and need to be replaced by their actual values on your system):
* <OpenSong Document Folder>\Scripture typically C:\Users\<username>\Documents\OpenSong\Scripture but actually OpenSong Document Folder is wherever you configured it to be.
* <OpenSong Document Folder>\OpenSong Scripture typically "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\OpenSong\OpenSong Scripture"
* <OpenSong Program Folder>\OpenSong Scripture typically "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSong\OpenSong Scripture", that is, below the installation folder where OpenSong.exe is.

All folders listed above MUST exist as folders or not exist at all. If they exist, listing their content MUST not fail. If <OpenSong Document Folder>\Scripture is not found by OpenSong, it will attempt to create it as folder. This MUST not fail.

In each of these folders OpenSong tries to open all items that are not a folder and do not start with an underscore _.
OpenSong needs read access to all these items. Each item found there MUST be readable, MUST be a well-formed XML file and SHOULD be a valid Bible file supported by OpenSong.

Please check these locations, and the contents of these folders.
Please report back for further assistance, or to tell us, what you found to be the cause of your trouble.
