This is a problem in the new 2013-08-03 version too. I am not able to change the host name. I have applied the changes in hosts, connection.cf and, all the files! Still, if I click apply in CONNECT, run net.sh or reboot, the old values is reapplied. Please help! If I run hostname --fqdn it returns the correct value. In /etc/mailname, 05-node_id and main.conf in postfix, all get wrong. In postfix main.cf I now have oldtest.tld as myorigin, smtp_banner is newdomain.tld.oldtest.tld, myhostname is newdomain.tld.oldtest.tld...

Yes, I have the Terabox app, but I do not use it for mission-critical appliances or any VM's as it is a cloud-based storage. I am still using ASSP - and it has been running well for me in the past 10+ years. The flexibility in options is outstanding, but at times can also be a bit overwhelming - even for a seasoned SMTP operator like myself its easy to get lost in the myriad of options and it is not easy for the beginner to install and set up. Thus a prepackaged VM would be nice to have for everyone....

Thanks for that bit of information ironjohn. I didn't know it was spamassassin in a wrapper. I use spamassassin now (and have for many years when I used to be a sysadmin for a Dial-Up service provider ... yes that long ago). I tried every which way to Tuesday to install SoF1, but it always hung at the same spot. No matter the kernel version, distro, bare metal or VM. At least now I realize I didn't even need to waste all that time. Had I known it was a wrapper for common packages I wouldn't have...

The author noped out several years ago. Everyone who wants to use SoF1 is on their own. SoF1 is just an admin panel with adjustable presets for amavis/spamassasin/clam/etc. All standard Linux mail daemon stuff. You would have an easier time using his scripts and config files as a base for your own from scratch spam filter server, minus the nifty web interface. I'd recommend starting with Ubuntu minimal server for slightly more up to date install packages. Nothing wrong with sticking to Debian though....

Scrollout is in need of some TLC - I guess the donations have stopped There has been no update since 2018. As of friday 8th Sep 2023 my instance of Scrollout F1 no longer functions due to incompatibility with hosting server - I was forced to update due to recent security patches, and Scrollout is simply no longer compatible. Scrollout has been brilliant, but I'm at that point now where I have to do something - and I fear that somthing is to look elsewere for a mail gateway provider :( sad times.

I got this a little ways down the road but not working yet. I installed a fresh Debian 12 from ISO. I then downloaded the ScrolloutF1 tarball, modified the install script changing the requirement of Debian 9/Stretch to Debian 12/Bookworm, and ran the installer. It appeared to get through without errors but I really didn't read all 10,000 lines of install logs. Nothing blew up, I'll put it that way. After completion the Nginx server was running but didn't work, with a Gateway timeout. I fixed that...

PMG can be used for free; no subscription required - you only need to reconfigure the update repositories to get it to work fine. But - not only no DKIM, but also no AD user verification other then using SMTP attempts. Anyone know what happened to Marius?

Hello, I am trying to setup postfix to send out an email to our users that receive a voicemail on their mitel phone controllers. Postfix itself has been setup and has a username with the IP address to identify each phone. Whenever a voicemail is left, I left an attached picture of the error we are recieving. (warning: Illegal address syntax from unknownp[ipaddress]and: Michael@ipaddress our ipaddress for the domain is in place.

Found the option "Send false positive messages to original recipients" under the Collect page in the GUI and turned it on. Don't know how that option got turned off. Been pulling my hair out for months over this. Case closed now tho.
