Feature Request
At the moment, I often go back in history to check my
informations about where I spotted a particular enemy
ship (to determine which way it took). This is rather
annoying in VPA. Maybe the path of an enemy ship over
many months might be shown in a more explicit way. Of
course I can see the movement of the last three turns
in VPA, but with enemy ships I often do not have this
information, but scarse informaton about where it had
been many turns ago. The use of a feature showing me
the path of an enemy ship would be that I can better
track important ships of foes: imagine lokis traded by
the fed to other races. It might be highly important to
know about trade agreements between enemy races.
In a recent game, by thorough observation, I found
prove of a Klingon/Borg/Fed alliance when I spotted two
lokis and a firecloud in Klingon possession. 5 Turns
ago, these ships obviously came together in peace
(lokis steered by fed, firecloud by borg) and then
chunneled 600 LY, where they where passed to the
klingon. A feature showing me the whole (known) path of
an enemy ship would faciliate such observations.

This would be somewhat hard to do, because VPA would have to
scan the whole VPA database for this information. Therefore,
this one is probably not going to happen in the near future.
I generally set a marker when I see a ship in open space:
"empire was here in turn 20".
