This is very cool project. I come across this while searching for face recognition using java on google. I am currently working on a project title : Automatic Photo Tagging Using Face Recognition. I am trying to modify your faint.jar file in order to do the tagging. I have try my best but couldn't come up with a solution because the code is package in jar file. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Is there a chance of a x64 build of the library? The opencv dlls are only build for x86 machines.

Straight forward and interesting project. Needs some more work to polish, but core looks very promising and add-in modules could add a lot.
