OGMRip is a library providing a common API for ripping and encoding DVD into AVI/OGM/MP4/Matroska files using a wide variety of codecs. It uses mplayer, mencoder, ogmtools, oggenc and lame to perform all its operations.

  • Thank you. Very good job. I use OGMrip to rip/convert VOB (dvd) files to a single file.
  • I've got a poorly mastered disc (obscure BBC production) and OGMRip was the only program that could get the A/V sync correct. Failures included: VLC, MEncoder, ffmpeg, DVD::Rip, and lxdvdrip. The nice interface is also welcome. I believe this will be my new standard tool, even for discs that don't have such problems.
