PdfBooklet 3.0.3 ================ |==================================================| |WARNING for LINUX USERS : | |Please read below the notes on Linux distribution | |==================================================| December 18th, 2016 (some enhancements and some bugs fixed) This is a new version which includes a new pdf engine : Python 3 Gtk 3 PyPDF2 Poppler 0.46 The rpm and deb files should come soon. What's new : Apart from a better engine, some new functions : Slow mode (in options tab) Reference page may now be indicated with the file number : 2:1 for example. In Options, Advanced, creep capability is now available Linux distributions ------------------- We are not Linux guys. PdfBooklet was written in Windows, and the code is fully Linux compatible (tested on Ubuntu), but we have not been able to create an installer which installs in Python 3. All our attempts were installed in Python 2.7 and this cannot work properly. Handling dependency problems is also difficult since we are running Linux in VMWare. If anyone creates a .rpm or .deb installer, please let us know. We have tried also Pyinstaller, but once again, although it is running with an environment with Python 3.4, it installs a Python 2.7 in its bundle !! Any help on these points would be appreciated, especially the help of a person who would be ready to prepare future Linux versions. Thanks.
