This program is a *MUST-HAVE* tool for anyone that likes to see alot more about what is happening on your computer, for example; Process Hacker will help you identify viruses, malware, spyware, trojans, that are running as .exe, .reg, & .svr files. Plus way too many more options too list here...lol. You won't be sorry people for trying this. I was hooked when I went into config mode...;-) R.A.Marson Calgary, AB.

Process Hacker + System Explorer - is my working toolset.

Trend Micro v7 has protected processes (CoreFrameworkHost and CoreServiceShell) that I could not terminate with PsKill, TaskKill, Process Explorer, Process Assassin, or dpinpurr. Since this was a production server, I could not reboot. This was the only program that was able to kill CoreFrameworkHost. Thanks!!

Well done!

Superbly powerful Process Explorer alternative.
-
Lighter and more useful than sysinternal's

I've used this for a long time now. It's very well written and helps me troubleshoot a system that's gone haywire.

Very good project, but I don't find the buttons to see the dependencies and dependents services. The last version I found in 1.11 version. It is two buttons when we click with right mouse button above of process name, properties and services, now have start and pause.

Great tool. This guy also helps out a lot on the SysInternals forums, so he's willing to share the knowledge. However, I do suggest a disclaimer for folks like Brave Heart - something along the lines of needing an IQ in the triple digits (thats > 99, Brave Heart)

It's rubbish - because: I downloaded Process Hacker on the recommend'n of PC World (should've remembered - never trust the media) and it took two goes to get it installed. Now what? There are no instructions on the tin so it certainly doesn't do anything. It was free - except I now need to take time zapping it off my hard disk. I wanted something to identify and so help me stop all those unwanted Windows programmes that run in the background (I use XP Pro w SP3, which I UPgraded (sic) to from Vista when I bought the laptop). Process Hacker does NOT do any of that because there is no way of learning how it works. And any items that can be found on their site, and on this host site, is written in geek-speak. Coming to this forum on a webhosting service required another log in - you geeks really have NO IDEA about marketing, do you?

The only thing better than Process Explorer.

Process Hacker is a very mighty tool - and I'm using it regularly.

A must have for replacing the default windows task-manager. This has a much better GUI and features. The terminator is much more powerful than just closing processes in the default task-manager.
-
I've been using this for several versions. Its one of the first things I install on a windows PC now.

Good alternative or companion to the Windows task manager.
