+--------------------------+ | Tux Hat Linux 2.1 README | +--------------------------+ Debian 7 - Wheezy Testing + Squeeze ++ System Utils i386 Base ++ X11 + Fluxbox + configs & cli utils +------------------------------------+ | Tux Hat Linux 2.1 HDD INSTALLATION | +------------------------------------+ ### Step By Step HDD Install + Configuration ### Step 1: Go to the Fluxbox menu and you will see THL-Install [Click on that] Step 2: Setup a Partitions how i do it is sdX1 swap about 1gb sdX2 / the rest of the disk -- Flag -- [bootable] Step 3: Setup root / user password and host / user name , and simplely choose your "location" ### After Installation ### Step 1: login root Step 2: nano /etc/sudoers set everything that says "USERNAME" to your "username" USERNAME [your username] ALL (ALL:ALL) ALL USERNAME [your username] ALL (ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD:/sbin/poweroff USERNAME [your username] ALL (ALL:ALL) NOPASSWD:/sbin/reboot ctrl+x ctrl+y Step 3: login in user name [ it will automaticly go to X11-Fluxbox ] Step 4: alt+t in terminal type chsh -s /usr/bin/zsh [ set user to zsh for zsh console in TTY ] startx to load up X11 next boot Step 5: setup locales:sudo nano /etc/locale.gen << set your locales ... ctrl+x & ctrl+y and run locale-gen :) Step 6: Repositories:sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list << put your repo there, DON'T use non-free PLEASE! :) note: to add more fluxbox titlebar buttons go to ~/.fluxbox/ <dir> and edit init file and u can add Shade & MenuIcon after Stick on left titlebar +------------------------------------------------+ | smxi ++ add kernel [liquorix] ++ & GPU Drivers | +------------------------------------------------+ Step 1: go to super user [root] type smxi Step 2: read what the script is telling you, and it should be pretty straight forward :P Step 3: Keep in mind smxi is a very nice tool and its on ALL THL OS Distro! ;) ### there you have it!
