"Great BIM " Posted 2021-05-21
Pros: Learning curve- AutoCAD look and feel, very competitive price, doesn’t take much space on the HD, excellent helpdesk, native Mac BIM software.
Cons: V21 was not really Mac friendly but it changed after a couple of updates.
I have problems with Revit file import, IFC works fine.
Limited number of blocks available compared with Revit or ArchiCAD.Overall: As a Mac user I was looking for avoid and reasonably priced software. I Bricscad BIM is perfect. Learning curve is good. Definitely after 20 years AutoCAD experience. I used to work with Archicad also.

"Best alternative." Posted 2021-02-25
Pros: Runs 95% of all legacy LISP and VB tools downloaded seamlessly. Very fast and seamless integration with any DWG or DXF drawings. More bang for the buck.
Cons: Setting program options is tedious as it is not graphical. Every time you want to change a setting, you need to know exactly where in the list it happens. So if it is a setting only seldomly changed, chances are you forgot where it is located. You can always search though. Not a big deal, but a "Con" nonetheless.
Overall: There is a bit of a learning curve for adapting to the system when coming from another cad software, but it is manageable and the program is just as sturdy and even better in many ways than the industry standard.
