SQL Planner can be installed on your local machine having Microsoft windows operating system, and provide SQL server credential (ensure it has Server view state permission or higher privilege, preferably Sysadmin) which has to be monitored or analyzed for health. SQL Planner starts collecting performance and server usage data very efficiently, ensuring your SQL runs smoothly, it also alerts you by email on several critical factor when encountered such as continuous high CPU, RAM, disk usage, database or drive space usage etc. SQL Planner instance can be used from browser (Firefox Mozilla preferred).

    Pros: Free enterprise edition usage valued of $78k
    Easy to use, improved dba productivity
    Alerting is very nice on covering all of my concerned areas

    Cons: Can improve on adding more features and support for my sql and postgres

    Overall: Great tool for monitoring, auditing, alerting
    I was also able to do table level of backups and db level obviously and dba notes management is cool utility

    "Great SQL monitoring software"

    Pros: Report on finding bottleneck.
    Report on finding IO Slowness.
    Report on finding Alerts.
    Report on finding High resource usage.

    Cons: I liked current user interface however they can still improve.

    Overall: SQL Planner has solved our several sql server issue quickly and accurately. This is really an amazing.
