Help compiling a simple plplot-prog

Sorry but I am an absolute novice using a plot ressource. I am interested in simple diagrammes and histogrammes. I downloaded plplot binary on opensuse L15.1 and successfully installed it with zypper. Now next: can I get support how to successfully compile and execute the example 00f.f90 ?
