My friends and I have been having a lot of fun in this game so far! The weapons and spells feel unique and fun to use, and you also get them pretty often so you get to experiment with a lot of different styles of gameplay.

It's got a lot of Dark Souls in it (estus, bonfires), but also some Dark and Darker (first person fantasy combat), in the best ways. You feel excited to explore new paths, and figure out which techniques are best against each enemy. It's simple enough to not get overwhelmed, but complex enough that you're pretty much always learning new ways to play.
