Titas: Species List
General
Titas: Since I'm having fun making weird species I decided I should make a list of things I create for personal reference with their allotted descriptions! So feel free to breeze past this entry if you're not interested in adoptables. ^-^''
Foxagons
Open Species
They are a creature of dragon and canid creed. They live in giant flocks of an unimaginable variety of colours and style. they share raven-like traits and are very intelligent creatures. they share magical traits and legend has it they also bring great luck to villages that they nest near! their eggs are said to be very beautiful and are often harvested for great amounts of money, though no foxagon poacher lives long, they say... shame one of these creatures and a lifelong streak of terrible fortune awaits you!
Nonduali
Closed Species
What are Nonduali? They are lovely little creatures based off of terrible and disgusting things. They may seem appealing to the eye, but all of them are engrossed in vices and bad habits... so watch out! They're mischief makers with pretty faces and designs. =^-^=
Vectors
Closed Species
These guys are called 'vectors', with good reason too, because they are quite vector-like in their fur patterns. They come in all wild assortments of colours and are pretty radiant. They are a splice between jerboas and stoats, making an ironic jumping carnivore. They burrow underground or live in hot dry environments like deserts and savannahs. They are mainly nocturnal. the feelers on the backs of their heads point down when male and upward curvy when female. Female Vectors are generally more curvaceous where males are lanky, though occasionally they do take different shapes and sizes. They are ambiguous and polyamorous and will have many mates over their lifetimes.
In the wilderness, they are not generally fearful of being spotted, for their bright markings generally meant to be a warning signal.
Civilized/anthro, they live in large colonies and generally get along with eachother.
Softspines
Closed Species
Softspines are a flamboyant species that carry a high defense design. They have sharp spines constructed of calcium that protrude from their bodies/bones and become projectiles when threatened. Protecting or hiding these spines are soft, dusty flaps often referred to scales or more often 'partitions'. These partitions shed small, frail scales that dissolve quickly after release and construct the most of the partitions themselves. The species is colourful and generally a go-getter kind of community. Some value themselves higher than others, but generally they get along fine with one another. Light and colourful Softspines are very common where dark softspines are more or less a rare breed. True black is a colour very, very rarely seen in Softspines and the colour is sought out for those who collect them as pets, companions, or otherwise.
As an anthropomorphic species, they carry on normal lives and release their spines much more rarely unless threatened or due for a shedding. The spines do grow continuously, and without releasing them, they become heavy and inconvenient. The exception is the slow-growing head spine(s), which grow much slower and shed once in the spring and once in the fall.
As they are mammals, they mate as mammals do, though in the situation of an imbalanced community, occasionally some will transfer sexes to better reproduction. Commonly female-sexed Softspines birth either 1 or 2 children at a time. 2 is as common as 1, but 3 is very uncommon and tends to be fatal to the birthgiver.
Softspines do not assimilate to common gender roles. Their sexual organs are only acknowledged for pleasure and breeding. Softspines generally mate in trios, but some are monogomous and will mate for life while others are entirely polyamorous and do not restrict themselves to one or two lovers.
