Hey all, Darius here.

It's been about a month since I've last posted a full artwork, excluding the little snippets of sketches and whatever I've been posting on Bluesky.

Nothing bad has happened in particular, it's just that I've been extremely busy with life in general, mostly with getting my drivers license and other administrative irl stuff that's too personal to share. ;'3

There's just a few things I'd like to mention, that have been sitting in my mind for quite long.

- New animation with sounds?

I feel like my last animation, the Lugia berry inflation one, left a lot to be desired. Not much about the animation (I actually feel incredibly proud), but rather about the audiowork. I've always felt a little uncomfortable with using my own voice for groans or muffled talking, so I'm not sure still if I should work on audios with my own voice, or possibly get someone else to collaborate.

- Overwhelmed with large projects

I genuinely have like 4+ comic ideas on my backlog, without counting the Groudon comic that's already sketched!! I just feel like I need to make single images to retain engagement, and that's just almost completely stopped my ability to work on long projects. I do have a lot of stuff going on irl- it's not like I can do comics, sequences or animations full time!! (although I wish I could)

- Long-term monetization

I've been considering for a while to make a Patreon for High-Quality uploads given that FA limits the resolution of images, not to mention that if I were to make a sequence, I could release it early there, and gradually in the rest of the platforms. My main issue though is that I'm just incredibly unsure about "Gatekeeping" my art (Even though eventually all of it becomes public), and I just cannot fathom what price is reasonable, given the current economic situation in the world.

- Juicy July~...?

I tend to almost never follow through with month-long art challenges like Inktober, but I'm planning to participate in this year's Juicy July! I'm already working on the prompts from scratch, and possibly just do the drawings before July comes, just so I don't overwork myself during finals season.

- Writing

- I feel like writing stories again!! Though again, really thinking that writing stories for myself is the way to go- My niche combination of interests just doesn't feel like it attracts people too much.

Hello Everyone, Darius Here!

I’ve been absent art-wise and just generally in the community in the past month because I wanted to get everything in order. This is a little bit of a long read, and a very important one at that, because I have some big changes I want to announce when it comes to me and my art.

Character Lore and Development

Over the past month, I've been delving deep into the lore of my characters, and I'm thrilled to say that I've not only written detailed descriptions but have also created character cards for most of them. As a result, you can expect the upcoming parts of the comic I'm working on to be more coherent and filled with engaging story and character moments.

Moreover, I'm excited to introduce a new character to my world, one I'm confident many of you will adore.

Change of pace of my own art

I’ve also been meaning to lessen my workload when it comes to art, and do more simple sketches/flat color drawings more often; rather than making a big drawing every 2~ or so weeks.

So you should definitely expect more relatively frequent drawings! (I hope that I can keep up with the pace I have in mind…)

Profile Revamp

I'm giving my FA profile a little makeover. It's going to be more me and more about my art, so you can find your way around more easily.

Increased Activity

Also expect me to be way more active here and there! Commenting on others posts, for the most part.

Twitter/X Exodus: Moving Forward

This has been one of the toughest decisions I've had to make, especially given how great X has been for art networking. However, due to recent policy changes and personal considerations, I'll be primarily posting my art here on Furaffinity and promoting it on X in alternative ways without sharing the full images.

I'll still be active on X, interacting with content, I just won't be posting my art there anymore. While I'd love to migrate fully to Bluesky to better flesh myself out in the community, invitation codes are currently scarce, and the waitlist gets longer and longer with each passing day. If any of you happen to have available codes, I would greatly appreciate it.

Edit: I'll still be posting my art on twitter, now that I got a bluesky account, and won't fully move to bluesky until it becomes public-use

Hey, Vsauce, darius here!

First, I want to apologize for the radio silence recently. Preparing for university entry exams really fucked my schedule up, and I barely can get anything done.

Even then, I've been having conflict about the quality of my art, and that constant nudge that I certainly make it better or "Make it look less bad". Trying to change the way I color, trying to change the way I sketch, trying to change the way I shade... I feel like I'm in a constant struggle to try and make my art as good as others.

I'll have a free week in june where I can certainly finish all of the unfinished drawings as well as the comic that I've been working on- Even then, possibly expect some pics or dumb fetish sketches dropping every now and then until before that week.


Also, I made a twitter!

I really wanted to interact with others more, even if it meant stepping into the wonderland (not really) that is twitter.

Heya! It's been a bit since my last journal, again, sorry.

I'm planning on making some changes to my gallery and profile in general, and I'm going to list them here. I'm not gonna make them effective starting now, but instead rolling out the changes gradually.

DELETING SOME OF MY OLD ART/MOVING IT TO SCRAPS.

There's some pieces specifically that ended up being controversial for me internally due to drama with the user in specific or the character at hand being drawn, so I'll be taking them down

I plan on also updating some of my old drawings to my recent artstyle, then moving the original to scraps, so stay tuned!

WATERMARK/SIGNATURE UPDATE

I also plan on remaking my watermark to include my FA instead of just being a "VD", so I'll be updating the submission files for most of my drawings. If you happen to have some of my art downloaded, please download it again when I update the watermark!

Looking at my profile again and comparing it to others is just... A little bit yikes ngl. I'm going to add a few things like trade policies or even more about myself, idk, I'll see about that.

Wow it's... Certainly been a while. I really want to get back into art, and making this update really is a little necessary on that.
