FursonaPod is a relatively popular podcast with a high production value. We record top notch quality podcasts that adhere to the inner workings of the Furry Fandom and the idea of Furry itself. With each episode, we touch on a specific topic that is relevant to the Fandom and Furries as a whole; discussing the various points and high notes that make the Fandom what it is today.

Originally started in 2009, Zaaz the Skunk created Fursonapod with his friend Moji in the cold recesses of Canada. The podcast quickly grew in popularity, attaining sometimes over 2000 downloads per episode; and achieving a relatively solid fan base.

Towards July of 2010, however, Zaaz announced that he could no longer continue doing FursonaPod (as his growing family demanded his undivided attention). In the 25th Episode of FursonaPod, entitled "The End", the Canadian skunk mentioned that the podcast would be available once again for anyone who was willing to take over the project.

In September of that same year, a new episode of Fursonapod was released - "Ep. 26 - Is the Furry Fandom Mainstream?" with brand new hosts  Xiath12 and  Rainstar9805 at the helm. The response to the new hosts (who had taken it upon themselves to rename the cast "FursonaPod 2.0") was overwhelming, many thankful that the podcast would continue to be produced and many offering their support to the new hosts.

Since then, FursonaPod 2.0 has been a continuous and ongoing effort. Several mishaps have hindered the progress of the podcast as a whole, limiting it's availability and production value in some cases. FursonaPod went on a temporary hiatus towards the end of 2011 but picked up shortly thereafter. Now the podcast is producing an episode about once a month, the time length ranging anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours.

At the end of FursonaPod Ep. 37 - Furry as a Culture, Rainstar officially announced that in the Fall of 2012 FursonaPod would be receiving a revitalization, officially announcing it as "FursonaPod 3.0." A full production overhaul has been ordered for the podcast: including over a thousand dollars in new equipment, a new logo, new intro and outro music, new website, new policies, new segments, and a new recording schedule. FursonaPod 3.0 promises to be a true contender in the Furry podcasting game - comparing to such podcasts as FurCast and KnotCast. Keep listening in for more information on the update.
