my coping mechanism is regression and I watched a lot of gore as a kid

living in the worst age possible but I don't have to do math to get my age, which is nice
if you'd like to do a trade or ask for requests I will probably take too long on them, I have been slacking off way too much with my commissions :/

YO, yall like me, right? not asking as much of a need for validation or anything, it's just vanity uwu
anyway, to the point
reading PayPal's new policies it's good practice!!!, which are going to enforce from january 22nd from next year, says stuff about an Automated Decision Making system and an Agentic AI
both are fancy names for an statistical analysis program with decision-making capabilities run by a machine that cannot be held accountable, obviously
the ADM runs in the back end to control account behaviors and assessing whether they're a risk or not and cutting ties with them as it makes their judgement
trying to elaborate on the previous point, it reads "(...) to make assessments or decisions, including related to risk, fraud and creditworthiness (...)", which translates to inferring financial situation, reliability and behavior and trying to predict stuff based on that and finally make judgements of whether or not someone may be committing fraud or doing money laundering among other economic shenanigans that I don't understand, I'm a meteorological observer, and using it to stop offering their services to such accounts
the Agentic AI seems to be directed towards the user as a kind of automation tool
it reads "These AI tools are designed to operate with a degree of autonomy, enabling them to perform tasks, make recommendations, and even initiate actions on your behalf (...)", meaning they are means to speed up some processes based on the user's behavior
however, the entire bullet point about the agentic AI is split in 3 paragraphs, the second one states that it should be used more as a consideration tool rather than a how-to of sorts, and thus should not be used to make proper decisions that have "(...) legal, medical, financial, or employment implications, and you must not use (or attempt to use) them for any such purpose."
then it remarks being a suggestions tool: "These tools are intended only to provide general assistance and insights, and you should not rely on them to replace your own judgement and expertise."
the 3rd paragraph is very tiny, and only indicates what information this tool would have access to should you use it
the rest is mostly about not honoring Do Not Track requests and selling your soul to them corporate overlords, usual stuff
please read it, it's not a suggestion, I'll draw your vegan ocs eating copious amount of natural gelatin if you don't
anyway, finishing this, I need suggestions of new payment processors because it's been a good time since I first stated my distaste for paypal, their policies and history, but they're kinda the only ones who serve in Chile so bummer, I'll have to suck it up if no one competes with them in the "richest" third world country, which is turning radical right next year :)
as a last tidbit, inflation's up for the 215'th time in chile's history (207 since we were declared independent) so we gotta make some adjustment to my main and only source of income
these will be made effective on february because it's late december and that's when my practice is over
to everyone who have already asked me and are waiting for me to get to them, you'll get the old prices even if I answer after the price change
