Another Trip Around the Sun (G)
Well, I'm now 34 years old. Still jobless, still living at home with my parents, but at least there are some positives.
1. I am currently on a waiting list to get into a "Workplace Readiness" program. This will lead directly into a "Professional Animal Workers" program, after which is guaranteed a job. The only thing annoying is the current wait.
2. As a result of one of my uncles passing away a number of months ago (at this point, it has been long enough ago that I've had the opportunity to fully grieve), I will be able to deal with a personal onus that I thought would take quite a bit longer to reach. I currently owe a few members of my family a fairly large sum of money for a trip taken a couple of years ago (after the worst of the pandemic, so after I lost my previous job). With the inheritance left to me in the will, I will be able to pay off the entire sum, while still retaining a majority in my savings.
3. As of the beginning of the year, I no longer need to see a neurologist. I used to require an annual visit to a neurologist for the simple reason that I had a seizure disorder. It just so happens that, with the last EEG that I underwent, there was no longer any evidence of any seizure activity in my brain. I have a theory on that that deals with the naturally occurring "pruning back" of excess neural pathways as the human brain matures, but the most basic form of that is that I grew out of my seizure disorder.
4. I've cultivated a new interest: amateur mixology. No need for anyone to worry about that though, as I only make mixed drinks for a couple of days each week, usually when my brother does not have work the next day, so he can try some of them as well.
Not much else than that. I'm still slowly trying to get back in shape, get back into a consistent sleep schedule, and get back into some of my current interests.
Signing off,
-L.D.Z.
