Long story short, I did the whole

girlfriend>job>house>dog>marriage>crippling depression>coming out>divorce thing

and here I am over a decade later picking up the pieces and remembering what things made me happy. Leaving this community left a huge wound that never healed and I'm sad for what I missed out on. Some friends passed, others moved on, a stout few are still trucking and I have such respect for that. My inspiration went into a coma when I took that job, I've tinkered and busied myself and did some neat things, but lost a lot of passion for creating. My drive is still on life support but I'm taking back my autonomy and steering my own ship again and it feels amazing. I see a horizon worth persuing once more and I'm grateful for that.

2022, I tried a soft re-entry into the community by quietly attending FurEh. I Just now returned from VancouFur 2023 feeling invigorated. Thanks to all who made the experience special, and are sharing pics and vids! Shout out to TwigaTheGiraffe for the videos
