The plywood monolith

This image just came into my head one day a couple months ago. No particular reason. Its anyone's guess what this could have been. I'm as clueless as you probably are. The setting is the California desert.

I have a love of the surreal and the lonely, and to portray both subjects.

The secound is for some of the pictures you post which have basicly the same theme . And the third reasom is the the macro content you throw in from time to time .

This is so impressive! You are very talented! Many great artists, such as one of my most favorite painter Georgio de Chirico, and surrealist have made such scenery with deserted and abandoned places. Something in our nature and mind holds us to them, for some reason.

An abandoned and deserted building such as this is ripe with the ghosts and memories of what once was -- and our minds search for an echo of those times.
