What have we done to the world
Look what we’ve done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine…
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?
Burnt despite our pleas
What about the holy land
Torn apart by creed
What about the common man
Can’t we set him free
What about children dying
Can’t you hear them cry
Where did we go wrong

Dedicated to all war-related events. I hate war. We can leave in peace, but why we choose war?

Please keep this in mind, whatever would happen, there will always be people who care.
And we can only stop the violence with forgiveness, common sense, patience, courage and love.

It is a very sad thing to go to war. To kill people who could other wise help build and create. For every discovery that we use for peace, there is another used for war. To truly understand it all you would need to understand the workings of the human mind. A lot of what is happening is people who are either causing their own problems and the want to get away from the problems they are in. It's the same everywhere, that's the root. Yes they sometimes find a cause to rally behind but the truth is they are sick and tired of the same thing year after year and think war is the only way they can be heard. The thought that nothing 'good' comes from war can be misconstrued though. It sounds cold, and it sounds mean... but we are going to be faced with the real possibility of either two options coming in the next 100~200 years (or maybe even sooner). That is the way we handle the energy supply. There's a lot of conflict but no country is really at risk of losing their driving force, their own way of life. What happens when your daily life becomes to expensive for you to support, even with a well paying job? We'll go back into a depression and we all know what happened during our last depression. The disadvantaged and taken advantaged Germans decided to turn their hopes on a man who promised change... and he ended up starting a second world war, something that was still fresh on everyone's mind from 'The Last Great War' just a short 20 years in between. History, ethics, open mindedness, compassion, equality. A lot of those words will describe what we need in the next 100 years. If we can't come together under a world wide cause to end these things, we'll likely be doomed to repeat history.
Thank you for that powerful image. I know my words will not reach many, and those who it reaches already know what we face in the coming years. We aren't blind... just refuse to look forward and prevent the coming darkness from spreading. I truly hope for a brighter tomorrow. I get the question of "why are you always so happy?" and the easiest answer I give back is "because there is no point in being sad." Despair, sorrow, and greed drive people to do desperate things, while hope, courage, and compassion drives them to do wondrous things. One person can do a lot to change the world... but can never do it alone. Let's all hope for a brighter tomorrow so we may not despair, use our courage to combat the greed within our hears and use our endless compassion to allow no person a moment of sorrow.

Reminds me of something else Michael helped to star: We are the World.

Was bringt Krieg, außer Verlust auf allen Seiten?

when we destroy nature, we destroy ourselves. we are so delusional when we imagine otherwise. even without bringing things we don't know into it.
they are used as an excuse, but i have never heard anything other then a human say they want to be.
the picture made me think of that song from hunger games. the one about how we'll be safe and sound in the morning while all the fanatics are burning everything at night.
never saw the movie so i don't know the context of the song other then what's in the song itself. really have no interest in doing so.
how we make our world, that's really everything. not our personal nest, but the world we make that everyone has to live in.

It is exceptionally rare that I watch a "G" rated only artist, for the simple fact that missing body parts annoy me - especially really important ones.
But your art is so striking. So colorful, so emotional, and for the most part, beautifully anatomical. I can't help buy make an exception here, and +watch you.
