Meet Topaz, Ruby and Sapphire! They're triplets, all 2 years old, last name Lareme.

Topaz is the oldest of the three and the most "mature" and "rational" of the lot (i.e. he doesn't try to kill himself on the playground for a ball). He's also the shyest and most reserved, but he never backs down when someone he cares about is in trouble.

Ruby is the middle child and she's the mischievous one, always picking fights and tormenting other kids at the daycare (though she's quite the crybaby herself). She's easily the most protective of the lot and will sometimes fight tooth and nail for her siblings.

Sapphire is the youngest, a curious little cub who's quiet and unassuming. That said, she has a heart of gold and always seeks to help out, heedless of the consequences.

I wanted something cute and slice-of-life-y so these three and their caretaker will do. Expect to see more of them in a comic or something adorable and less grimdark+fantastical than usual.
