Fanart sketch done at work of my favorite boss from a very special and amazing game, Hyper Light Drifter . I really can't say enough good about this game.

This was one of those bossfights where you don't really realize how hard your heart is pounding until after it's over. A lot of the Bone Waste's underground was like that. Don't get me started on that one particular "node" ...

I couldn't agree more; the pacing on this boss is what stuck with me most, haha. And true, this is one of the few games were I actually want and wouldn't roll my eyes about DLC for! I have no idea how they could fit anything else in though. Everything seems to really have its place and reason for being there. The only thing I could think of is some kind of prolouge about the Drifter or maybe even a boss, to give a little insight or different perspective of them when you fight them in the main game.
I went North first as well - it's the "unofficial" first area, but we were intended to go East first: there's even a little dog thing that runs that way and tries to lead you haha. I couldn't say what made me go there first though.
I know that room, it sucks haha. I was stuck in there for a while, trying to get what was in there.

The Archer and his crew were certainly some of my favorites haha. The bow would male for a pretty awesome weapon!
If you are stuck on the final boss (I was for some time) try just focusing on dodging his attacks instead of fighting like a mad dog like I did for most of the bosses (which works pretty well, but not so much for the final boss). They leave themselves pretty open sometimes.

Really nice work on this one. Playing through the game myself right now, already beat it the normal way so now I'm trying to find all the secrets.
I actually found the archer to be one of the easier ones of the South area bosses, of coarse I didn't do it in one go, but it was probably one of the fastest fights for me, the final blow on him being his own mines that I triggered beforehand.
I actually found the Scythe boss the most fun as I got in there with no ammo and had to find a way to land even a single hit on him, but once I realized how to fight him it became a lot easier. The fun part being that you can't just keep on attacking him but rather have to wait and find a opening.
Overall the South area made it more interesting by having 4 bosses spread over the area rather than one big one at the end.

Yeh I like it more than I thought I would, a lot more! OST is amazing, besides the boss themes I also like how the OST for the water area, it feels fitting for a beautiful place that was once the home of a peaceful civilization, which where than brutally slaughtered by the barbaric frogs (or toads, not sure).
If anything I feel more for the world the game takes place in, the many ways civilization fell. I love how the story is fully visual, so you need to do some thinking yourself to bring it into words, come up with the possible details yourself.
