Bought this American Standard Telecaster back in Jan. I have a nickel allergy, and of course it was covered in it, but I love it and set about changing out parts. All the chrome swapped with gold plated. I found a company, Jescar, that make a copper alloy fretwire. They are amazing. Then I thought a black pick guard would go better with the gold hardware. Then I thought, go big or go home, so upgraded the pickups to a Lollar Charlie Christian in the neck, and Lollar Vintage T in the bridge. They sound amazing! For a little added glam, the control knobs are gold plated with mother of pearl tops. This is by far the most beautiful looking and sounding guitar I've ever had. :)
