Ezrael, or just Ezra, is a Palaar, a made-up species created by Deputy_Micspam for his personal worldbuilding project. Native to the planet Palaas, Palaar are digitigrade bipedal creatures with long ears, an extended muzzle and a long muscular tail that ends in a broad fan. They are covered from head to toe in feathers, and are omnivorous.
Most notably, all Palaar possess psionic abilities--or in their own terms, are "Handed"-- from birth. These psionics, however, are not magical signals but are instead a set of limbs inhabiting a higher dimensional plane known in their language as Ahtmaas, a dimension of pure dark energy. Their psionic limbs are known as Khes and are able to "breathe in" dark energy from Ahtmaas, convert it into other forms of usable energy, and "breathe it out" in the 3D plane that we inhabit. This process is what Palaar endearingly call "magic", even though they are well aware of the science behind it all.

Objects can also be imbued with a snapshot of Khes and be programmed to do a particular job. This is known to Palaar as "Enchanting" or "Artifice". Enchantments vary in complexity from simple rigid functions to being as complex and flexible as modern day computers.
