It always surprises me how big of a challenge a graphic novel can be. When I painted the initial concept of HoD, the main characters weren't yet fully developed. It all came inbetween the process of completing the first half of the graphic novel. If you remember the first upload of the same image from a while ago, the boy looked much older. It's always interesting for me to see how styles and characters can develop over time. I was looking for a certain design for him and came to a good solution for what I wanted. Of course, developing the main character also means that the main antagonist of the story has fully matured as well. I seriously can't wait to unleash the beast to you. ;)

Eurofurence will offer me a platform to give you a little view into the making of Myre as well of HoD. I will have a small artshow panel where you can see samples of the completed pages that will be shown in their original and final print size. Wish me luck that they will arrive in time. I've been waiting for them since the end of last month and haven't received anything so far.
Unfortunately, HoD won't debut at Eurofurence. I'm still working on it. You can join me at my panel: "How I Made a Graphic Novel without Losing my Mind" and get your questions answered there too. As always, I am always happy to see and hear from you. :)
Let me know if you are interested in weekly journal updates regarding my work and life. It will at least give you a snippet of what I'm doing and that I am still around, no matter how little you see from me these days.
Have a wonderful weekend!
As always, thank you for looking!

The spotlight makes it more threatening, I think. Very fitting!
It still kept the theme...I guess the seed-thing in their paws was changed for...reasons of not having to draw the emblem whenever it's on view?
It looks also more smooth in itself. Nicely done :3 I can't wait for release...! This time I can order it maybe even to release. Best of luck, Claudya! I hope you keep your mind! ^_~

I can fully understand you. I presented an initial design and setting, which is something you feel familiar with now. A drastic change of a character design can be strange. Though while I was on the search for his final look, I came to the conclusion that the "normality" of his design bears a very important meaning. I hope you will be interested enough still to find out yourself soon. :)
