Bit of a story behind this one! Back in college, the professor of one of my psych classes focussing on personality and identity gave us an option for our final to make a CD comprised of music that we felt best encompassed who we were as people. However, the stipulation on it was that we needed to go all out on it. A simple unlabeled mix tape wouldn't get you much of a grade. We had to really put ourselves into the presentation, by making album pamphlet inserts for a CD case as well, with pages covering why we included each song in the album that represented us.
And of course, album artwork was a must.
I feel like I put more heart into that project than any other one before, and at a time in my life when I was still a closet furry, so to make the album artwork something even hinting at it was a huge step for me. The art wasn't anything too complicated or fancy, and all I could manage for the paw and human hand in it was blacking out cropped stock images from Google, but I spent a lot of hours on it, trying to make it as good as I could manage with the little skill I had. And holy crap, it paid off. I got an A, and the professor felt the need to flag me down afterwards about my submission, to thank me for opening up to her.
I unfortunately lost the original art that I made for that project, or at least, I haven't managed to locate it on my computer in the swamp of college class documents and materials, but like I said, it wasn't anything complicated, and I wanted to redo the idea now that I have the means to do it a little better.
