Wendigo looks beautiful 🤩

Uh, this might be a weird question but are you Native American? Because I definitely saw that many Native Americans ask artists to stop using Wendigo as a generic monster. I understand that this is a commission, but you're still responsible for what you draw.

I dont understand why, I mean wendigos aren't good since they represent selfishness and have a taste for human meat so they pretty much are monsters, so what's the problem?

The tribes that have stories of the creature believe very strongly that even saying or thinking the name is enough to summon the creature to you. The Wendigo is a very powerful monster, capable of causing enormous blizzards and avalanches to trap you. The most dangerous and terrifying power the monster has is what's called the Wendigo Fever. It starts off as a strange smell noticable only to the chosen victim. After that, the victim is afflicted with all manner of horrific nightmares. This goes on as the victim slowly grows more and more paranoid. Eventually the victim suffers a horrible burning sensation in the legs, finally driving them mad. They flee from their safe confines and into the cold dark wilderness, stripping themselves naked, screaming in fits of insanity, finally becoming easy prey for the Wendigo.
