Long time ago, the planet 4546B had been haunted by a devastating infection harming most small life forms and thus threatened the food supply of a majority of the huge creatures as well. One particular species, referred to as the Sea Emperor Leviathan was even brought down temporarily to a single member.

Luckily times have changed on 4546B which is now the home of a fair number of Sea Emperors. Among them: Khaleera.
Thanks to visitors her mother saved once in the past, she owns some of the Technology possessed by the galaxy wide conglomerate of Alterra, in exchange for resources of her kinds planet.
One might wonder why Khaleera is not as large as her siblings who proudly can carry the classification of Leviathans on the size chart already. Well, her species possess the ability to control their aging and thus their physical growth. As believers into the concept of rebirth, they normally do not make use of this, but it is the way that allowed Khaleera's mother to survive for more than a millennia and a half to rescue their species.

The reason Khaleera has for that, might be more selfish but surely not less understandable. She decided to remain decently sized soon after she met Freggie for the first time in a virtual, aquatic game environment.

For years those two young lovers had to wait for this day. Half a galaxy had always separated their two species but thanks to the modern wonders of communications they had found and maintained their relationship with each other despite their differences. Khaleera was after all a being naturally fully waterborne belonging into the depths and Freggie was an amphibian - who a human would probably refer to as a frog (and likely anger her calling her that).
A lot of their time went on finding solutions for that though and once Freggie could finally afford to come to 4546B - as a one way trip - Khaleera had prepared a nice base for them. It was comfortably deep for her and with some effort, well accessible for semi-aquatics too. In their virtual meetings they had designed a bed that sloped into the natural water, perfectly allowing Freggie's skin to stay moist while she breathed air and Khaleera could take a watery breath whenever she needed.

So here they are now on their first encounter in real life. Quickly they realize how more detailed each others bodies are compared to the virtual 3D models of themselves they had to use before. And of course how much better skin was reacting to real touches than ones through a VR-suit.
Their glances remain locked on each other a long while. For the first time, Khaleera can use her kind's telepathy on someone she loves, communicating with Freggie as intimately as one could imagine...
Those two are set for a lovely future <3
