‘Heh,… comfy?’

‘MmmHmm,… Nyaa!’ *Purrs softly*

“So,… a long bath at the Hot Springs,… and a Bag of Fishy Crackers,… later, and here we are,… and I’m glad to be back on solid ground again,… on one of the safe beaches on the island. It looks like Carissa is very happy to have me safe as well,… she always gets snuggly after a rescue,… alittle ear scratching and a belly full of Fishy Crackers and she purrs like the sweet kitty she is. I am very lucky to have a friend and adopted ‘sister’ like her.

I have to get more of those Fishies sometimes,… thankfully the ‘gift shops’ on Coconut Island sell them. I first got them from a group of grateful tourists here, and quickly found that Carissa absolutely loves them, so I try to keep a supply of them, especially as an after-rescue treat.

So yeah,… aside from a bit of quicksand, this was a pretty good day afterall.”

And, at long last, the finale to this incredible series from the remarkable  toughset of my OC, Ember, and friend and rescuer, Yuppi12’s (https://www.deviantart.com/yuppi12) Carissa, who sure does look comfortable, doesn’t she? ;)

So after all the sinking, and tension and rescue, we finish up the series with this cute, fun, wholesome and heartwarming picture. I must say, my first reaction is ‘Aww,…’, my second reaction is to chuckle. ;). Carissa really does look very content as she snuggles with her friend and gets her ears scratched, and she certainly looks quite happy with her ‘pillow’. Ember certainly seems to find the situation alittle humorous, but seemingly not that unusual, and quite content as well to let her kitty friend snuggle with her in this peaceful moment on her chaotic island. Their expressions really convey their contentedness, and both ladies look great in Toughset’s buxom, athletic style, especially evident in the squishiness of Ember’s chest,… I mean really, who doesn’t love a good, soft, boob pillow? ;). The vibrant colors and the lovely shine are always impressive, especially on Ember’s hair and spear. And at last we see the aforementioned ‘Fishy Crackers’,… something of a joke between myself and Yuppi,.. very humorously depicted by Toughset, not only with the picture on the crinkled bag, but the trace of crumbs on the inside of the bag is a very nice touch. And while the previous pictures showed the hazy gloom of the jungle, which you can still see off behind them, they seem to be a nice, clear, tranquil spot. A good illustration of how, amidst all the dangers and chaos on Nightshade Island, there are still moments of peace and contentment, which I think is a great way to bring this series to a close.
