Opens my eyes, and my mind...
I turn to face an uncertain future
The Path I set out to find eludes me
As it disappears into the forest.
I stop at the edge of the towering trees
And explain my woe
As if in response
A single leaf floats towards me
Promising answers
As I reach for it--
An unmoving wind puffs it away
I leave my outstretched hand open in vain
As it flutters and disappears into the forest
I take a deep breath, swallow my fear
Resigned to this new place
Where the path's destination is ever obscured
I gently close my hand
And disappear into the forest.
