Quest 2: The Magician

"So this is Kobold Rock Tower... You know, I didn't expect it to reach this high, these guys are SHORT. You think they'd have little houses, right??" Oatmeal elbowed Evan all buddy buddy-like. "Yeah I kinda expected lots of tiny houses, with tiny little gardens for their tiny hands to pour tiny water on their tiny flowers... I could go on".

Before the hard hitting duo stood a tower reaching to the heavens, a gigantic cylinder of stone peppered full of windows and some balconies, like a huge apartment complex in it's most basic form. Tiny kobolds popping out of the holes like whack-a-moles staring down at the Tabaxi and Imp, some looking curious, some looking scared... aww. A voice from below steered their sight back down. Before them stood a large door the two of them could easily fit through, with a tiny door attached to it seemingly for individual kobolds to go in and out. Their attention was brought to that of below them, "Ahem, if you two wouldn't mind I would like to keep going, the grand wizard does not like to be kept waiting." the little counselling lizard is heard.

"The curiosity is killing me!! I am getting kinda hyped up to meet this wizard guy, I feel so tempted to ask what they're like... but... if I do I might compromise the ruse, I can't have this dude sound the alarms of intruders at the very foot of the tower, I don't wanna fight any kobolds and I don't wanna disappoint Heidi... No, I must keep my composure. For the first time ever, I, Sir Evan the 4th, will keep my mouth shut and be humble." Evan pondered to himself, his train of thought immediately broken by Oatmeal who abruptly asked the kobold "hey dude who is the wizard". A sense of panic washed over Evan's face as he turned towards the little green guy anticipating a suspicious look... Instead the kobold seemed to be grinning with excitement?

"The grand wizard is nothing short of amazing! They are the first kobold in 50 years to have achieved dragonification, they are a great inspiration to us all! And really talented with magic, they're also a psychic!" the lil green dude perked up with a chipper tune. Oatmeal crossed her arms and shrugged, "A dragon who is also phsycic wizard? Wowie like no wonder you lil guys look up to them! Uhh, literally too I assume.". The kobold grinned, the Evan grimaced.

"Now! Enough chit chatting, I will get the door and lead you right ahead to the wizard's court. They are most eager to add yet another pair of magic weapons to their collection! You will of course be rewarded as previously discussed with your contractor..." the green one delivered a hand sign to a yellow kobold up above them, who then walked downstairs to get the big door open. What met the duo beyond the gates was not the stairway upwards as they expected, but accompanied by a wooden elevator going downwards. "god I hope I'm not above the weight limit..." Evan mumbled to himself

Whew, the quest continues! And what a continuation, it's the kobold tower! A great landmark of Noor, a heavenly gathering of kobolds of all types, the largest community family of tiny lizards across the continent. While the tower itself was not constructed by kobolds it sure was repurposed by them. A huge thanks to Maddie for having brought my vision to life so spectacularly like this! An immediate thing I want to clear up is that neither Laura or Noah came from kobold rock, I've gotten a few questions about that from friends 💦
