Face Snatchers

Face Snatchers are spirits of old streets and towns. They are one half a bird and one half a dark elf. Face Snatchers usually appear during holiday's festivals and masquerades, hiding among the dressed-up people in the crowd. They like the jewelry of precious metals and expensive fabrics, prefer honey and nuts as the meal. Face Snatchers' favorite food is grapes and grape wine, which excite and lull them. Their faces are always covered by masks - if the mask is taken off, Face Snatcher will die, having turned into down. They often frighten the people in a night-time, taking a form of their acquaintances or dead relatives. Face Snatchers can steal the shape of everybody, whom they have seen, but they might be distinguished because of the tail, which can't be hidden by magic.
