DC#275:
First Name: Aron
Last Name: Wheeler
Nickname:
Gender: Male
Species: Caracal
Height: 182cm
Weight: 75kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 3/10/1999
Hometown: Gosford, NSW
Junior Club: Gosford (Sydney FAFL)
Playing Position: Centre
Bio:
Aron really liked sports since he was little, and, thanks to his father, especially footy. He often practiced with his dad and older brother in the family backyard in what was a great family bonding experience. Once Aron finished elementary school and joined a high school in Sydney, he looked to join a junior team, and managed to do so with Gosford, his hometown. It was a long process, but over the years, the caracal refined his skills and became one of the most reliable players in the team, great all-round player, working with the ruckline to create a solid midfield block.
But more than his skills and consistency, Aron became known for his player number. He didn't wear any of the usual 1-50, he chose #76. His reason was that it was a way to thank his dad for introducing him to the sport by wearing his birth year on the shirt. If Aron gets drafted, that might create an issue with the FAFL, but time will tell if he gets to keep the number.

First Name: Micah
Last Name: Tamanisau
Nickname:
Gender: Male
Species: Spinner Dolphin
Height: 190cm
Weight: 83kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 30/5/1999
Hometown: Suva, Fiji
Junior Club: International Recruit (Fiji)
Playing Position: Forward Pocket
Bio:
Micah was an athletic dolphin, and growing up on the island nation of Fiji, he was very invested in rugby. The national team was very successful on the international stage and he dreamed of making it big as well, with his dream being playing at the Summer Olympics. His family supported him, and things were looking promising, but as he was growing up, it became obvious that his body proportions were not good for the sport. All other players were very burly and would probably break Micah in half with a hard tackle. In addition, he couldn’t afford a gym membership or any tools to improve his physique. Micah’s dream fell apart.
But he handled it well, acknowledging the fate had different plans. Few months after he quit rugby his good online friend from Australia showed him Australian football. Micah liked it, it was similar to rugby and the players were a lot skinnier, so he would have a bigger chance to make it to the top.
So he signed up to play in a junior team of Suva Tides, one of the four teams in the Fijian league. Thanks to his rugby experience, he adapted quickly and in only a few years made it to the main team, making his debut at 18 years old, and after only a few more years he worked himself up to one of the best players in the country, helping Suva win the title. That’s when he realized he’s outgrowing the league. It was time to move on to bigger things…the FAFL.

Birthdate: 7/6/2000
Hometown: Cairns, Queensland

Playing Position: Centre Half-Forward
Bio:
While Assistant Coach Xander McMichaels has been a very polarizing personality in his time in the FAFL, his son Cain hopes to reinvigorate some life into the name of McMichaels after what the family calls the travesty of his ejection from the Generals team.
Cain always wanted to follow into his fathers footsteps into professional football from the day he could walk and kick a ball, devoting his free time after school to honing his right foot, having played all throughout his junior and senior years in school and college it was no surprise his father and various talent scouts of the FAFL came knocking on the door of the son of FAFL’s most outspoken coach.
While he still holds a grudge against the Geelong Generals and owner Jack Knight, Cain hopes to push that aside and better himself and the name McMichaels so that history can be placed firmly in the past.

First Name: Greg
Last Name: Brackson
Nickname:
Gender: Male
Species: Siberian Tiger
Height: 195cm
Weight: 102kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 12/3/2002
Hometown: Darling Point, New South Wales, Australia
Junior Club: Redfern (Sydney FAFL)
Playing Position: Half-Back Flank
Bio:
With his overflowing locks of blonde hair and handsome face accentuated by sharp green eyes, Greg Brackson has the appearance of a stereotypical fashion model that can be found in websites selling over-priced high-end brand attire, and in a sense that would be accurate as he really was a fashion model as a child up until his teenage years. However this tiger upped his vanity game by pioneering a new but painful fad: dye-striping. Such as some red foxes would do ‘snow-dipping’ by dunking their black-furred paws into bleach to turn the paws white, Greg would painstakingly brush bleach onto his natural tiger stripes, turning them white and then apply dyes of any color onto the stripes. Sometimes it would be red stripes. Sometimes silver, blue, yellow, or even a darker shade of orange to contrast with his natural orange and white fur. Sometimes he would mix colors, but his favorite color is bright neon green.
He came from Darling Point, New South Wales, Australia, one of the wealthiest and prestigious suburbs in Sydney, and loves to remind everyone about it. Both of his parents were fashion designers and models, and they heavily encouraged their children (Greg has four siblings; all of them female) to follow in their footsteps at the fashion catwalk. For his entire childhood, Greg was entirely in their shadow, wearing expensive clothing and posing for the cameras, but while he never lost his taste for fashion as he grew up, he was the only one in the family to also pursue athletics. Even as a child, he became very adept at swimming but as a young teenager, he became enamored with the sport of footy. He loved attending games to root for East Sydney, especially from the top private suites within the venue (“I don’t want to sit with those bogans down there,” he was rumored to remark but always denied saying that). He practiced and learned the game with friends at school and became talented enough to attract the attention of junior clubs within Sydney, and he eventually joined the Redfern Sydney FAFL club.
Over the years, he grew in height and bulk, but so has his ego. He believed whatever his entourage of ‘friends’ told him about his own talents, and while his parents felt the sport is ‘barbaric’, they eventually relented and turned to their four daughters to focus on following their fashion industry legacies. Greg easily filled into the position of Half-Back Flank, as his figure was built for the role and has the endurance to keep up with the heavy demand the position requires. Despite his ‘pretty boy’ appearance, he has no qualms pushing other people around and being pushed, but also he loves to open his mouth and let loose verbal streams of taunts and various trash-talk, on and off the field. If he wasn’t so good in the game, he would’ve been dismissed as cocky, narcissistic, and downright vain. Thankfully though he has the skill to back up his mouth.
At least his fad of dye-striping hasn’t taken off in popular culture. Not yet anyway.

Height:185 cm
Weight: 82kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 3/1/2003
Hometown: Patna, Bihar, India
Junior Club: International Recruit (India)
Playing Position: Forward Pocket
Bio:
Radhika's life is one born of prestige and wealth, befitting of the name Saxena or in Hindi as it means 'Friend of the Army' a title given only by the kings of old to those most trusted in society. Well-mannered, sharp, cunning...All things one would think of Radhika or any other family member with the last name Patel. But one quality she had that most lacked in her family was physical prowess. Unlike her shorter, stockier family members whose biggest weapons were their tongues and wallets, Radhika grew up healthy and strong with a knack for more physical pursuits.
Given the generous bankroll in addition to her top-notch tutoring and education, she was given access to several trainers in a decent array of sports both familiar and exotic. While initially funneled into Cricket, the so-called gentleman's game she found it boring and stuffy for her tastes...She found herself going for a wide variety of games instead from basketball and baseball, in spite of her cricket experience to more localized games such as kite fighting and kabaddi.
Though her hunger to play and perform never slowed down. If anything it grew as she got older, manifesting in little outbursts and being overly competitive.Which added up to some viral moments from shouting obscenities at heckling fans, granted some of what they hurled at her first was straight up awful...to an incident with a rival player which resulted in an ugly fight post-game ending in her getting a couple piercings torn out of her face.
Radhika, tired of having seemingly half of India after her, began to look outward again for a sport to play. The FAFL seemed to draw her intrigue...it was different, unconventional, gritty...seemed perfect for her. With time she'd learned what she could apply from her previous sports, from her vertical grace in basketball, running burst from baseball, her stamina from kabaddi, even down to body control and subtlety from kite fighting...a patchwork of abilities that could turn her into a FAFL player...How this patchwork would translate? Who knows...that's between her and whatever GM wants to punch her ticket into the league.

First Name: Samir
Last Name: Patel
Nickname:
Gender: Male
Species: Bull
Height: 203cm
Weight: 131kg
Kicking Foot: Left
Birthdate: 20/4/2004
Hometown: Vasco de Gama, Goa, India
Junior Club: International Recruit (India)
Playing Position: Centre Half-Forward
Bio:
Even down to the name on paper, Samir seemed unremarkable...Patel the self-described Smith of India. You heard his name in chatter, you wouldn't think a second thought of him...if you saw him, that's a different story. Even from the lower class he hails from Samir stands head and shoulders above his peers...in stature at least. Even as a calf, Samir was big...by bull standards even but his mind would find it hard to follow with a lack of schooling and literacy.
In a way you could say the hard upbringing hardened him, made him self-sufficient and gritty. Instead of days at the desk he met with long days of manual labor and peddling in the streets to pay for dinner. Thus with the tough world he was often faced with, his exterior followed suit...even if inside he didn't wish to. A big part of him wanted just a sliver of comfort, to belong, to feel safe.
It seemed he'd get some of that when he was picked up to play minor league rugby at the tender age of 14, granted with his stature he was able to lie about his age easily and get the paperwork needed to clear restrictions, said paperwork and legal maneuvering was a nightmare but...worth it, given his sheer size alone made him one hell of a lock. While some of his skills were raw, his sheer physicality and size made him almost impossible to tackle or guard, plowing through lines like wet cardboard. His first year seemed like a dream, being a legitimate star and even having a nod in the Commonwealth games down the line.
Eventually his luck would prove...different. It started much like his first but the end was...less than stellar. He seemed on track for another excellent season, getting his actual game refined and learning the finer points. He was on fire going through the season, until one of the final games of the season where Samir attempted one of his usual tries through a defender but as he slammed his foot down before the goal-line he felt his knee extend in a way it shouldn't have. He felt the tweak immediately and collapsed forward, arm stretched out with the ball...he and the defender landed with a sickening crack...
In the end Samir would have a severely contused knee and the defender would end up paralyzed...Samir tried to play through his bum knee but could hardly function at half power...not to mention the guilt of having crippled another player weighing his mind down. After the season concluded...he walked away from the game in shame. He was known now...but not all for the right reasons...where was he supposed to go from here?
That fate would change when eating at a cafe hardly a week later where he'd bump into Anna Edwards, a star of old in the FAFL. While she had heard things about Samir's incident she ended up being one of the few who listened to young Samir and his plight. Feeling pity for the downtrodden bull, Anna slipped him a plane ticket and told him come to Australia...footy might just be a good fit there. And with little other far as options went, Samir took that one way ticket and hasn't looked back...

First Name: Aelita
Last Name: Sallander
Nickname: Cheat Code
Gender: Female
Species: Australian Boobook
Height:170 cm
Weight: 63kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 29/9/2002
Hometown: Ravenshoe, QLD
Junior Club: Broadbeach (QSFFL)
Playing Position: Rover
Bio:
In the old hotels and rushing waters of the quirky town of Ravenshoe one would find Aelita Sallander...quirky in her own right as well but a bit more introverted. Sure she'd love to sit by the rushing waters but she'd have her laptop handy at the same time, cracking into some or other video game. Funny thing with her and games, she never just played them...Aelita always liked to perfect them, really get into the engine and see what makes it tick.
Didn't matter much what the game was either, horror survival? She'd find a way to beat it without taking a single hit. Fighting game? She'll stretch every possible combo to it's max. Adventure game? She'd find every collectable if it took her night and day. Often through childhood, classmates would pay her to help them in difficult parts of their games.
Things got a bit intriguing when she'd picked up a footy game for her birthday. Sports weren't usually her thing but...what was a new challenge for her to tackle? She took the gift with a grin and proceeded to get to work at her craft. Between simming season after season and tinkering with squeezing the most from a trade, something just seemed...wrong to her. What was with some of the animations in this game? They were just unbelievable to her. Were they even possible? Something she wanted to put to the test.
Picking up a cheap footy ball, she went to her local park and began trying the animations out herself. Finding it easier said than done, Aelita would struggle to imitate these but in between some of the laughable tries she actually got in a good boot or two...those put a smile on her face. Maybe she could do something with this?
While she was not gifted athletically, Aelita used her footy video game as her guide to the game learning how to play smarter as opposed to harder. While she lacked burst and aggression, her fundamentals were little short of perfect. Easier arguably to get by when playing the locals, but with state teams it was a different story. Much like the excellent Aiden Harrison, Aelita would find herself going to tryout after tryout in the hopes of one single yes...eventually getting Broadbeach to give her a chance on the interchange in where she'd mostly play a supporting role...a game manager type of player for lack of a better term. However in her final season, draft declarations and injuries left her with a chance to start...one she'd squeeze the most out of. Her slower and more methodical approach often left defenders overshooting her on tackles, using side steps and back steps to leave room for a handball or a kick. And while she wouldn't light the scoreboard up, when she lined up to kick you knew likely it was going clean between the big posts...
Off to the draft now, Aelita does bring up some questions. Can her slower pace style translate well? Can she hang in with a lack of athletic gifts? How'd she get so good all from playing a video game? Questions prospective clubs should mull over and mull over good when giving her a look...

First Name: Da-Hye
Last Name: Park
Nickname: Maestro
Gender: Female
Species: Red Panda
Height: 180cm
Weight: 70kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 19/3/2001
Hometown: Busan, South Korea
Junior Club: International Recruit (South Korea)
Playing Position: Wing
Bio:
Da-Hye grew up under the high life in the grand city of Busan, born to the great violinist Min-Ji Park she was always at her side, playing instruments and seeing what the world had to offer. A very enriching upbringing without a doubt. One thing was certain with little Da-Hye, she for sure got some of her mama's talent. Her ability with an instrument in hand is incredible even from a young age. picking up in weeks what took most kids months, and months what took others years. Never see her without an instrument on her person after she'd learned the pan flute.
And when not she'd have a decent sporting life, if a bit spotty as times due to her mother's work and all the travel involved. But she had some notable skill, and a great set of hands to match. In her elementary days she was an avid player in soccer as a striker. However in her teenage years she'd end up switching to baseball with some ankle issues making it hard for her to kick as they were to her kicking foot and couldn't seem to get the technique right on her off-foot.
The burst runs were easier on her injuries and her good hands translated well to being a great outfielder, specializing in catching popflys and rolling line-drives with ease and able to get them where they needed to be. And eventually she did go back to soccer in her final school year as a goalkeeper which hid her weaknesses well and showed off her sheer skill with her hands.
Often times as part of payment for venues she'd play, Min-Ji would often recieve tickets to whatever team was playing in that city in the next day or two. While far from her favorite thing, it was something to do with Da-Hye on the road so she'd graciously accept them. Whatever the game, the main thing that filled their talks were the colorful and pretty uniforms the teams would wear when they played and how she'd love to wear one someday.
At first her mother would dismiss them as her just being drawn to something pretty but the talk kept on whenever they had seats at a game. Da-Hye's boundless energy sure didn't help, especially since she'd sweetly try to imitate some of the moves she'd seen on the field, from soccer juggles to basketball dunks. She'd be putting her time into her sports moves as much as her music. Min-Ji figured maybe this'd help her burn off some energy while on the road...so she'd humor her little drills.
As many musicians dream of...eventually Min-Ji would get the chance to play in the Sydney Opera House. By now Da-Hye had grown up a bit and even began to play alongside her...even in Sydney. The pair had put up an amazing show. Included in their payment...tickets to see the Roosters play. It was quite the show, Da-Hye even joking that her mom should try playing...little did she know that would actually happen with Min-Ji getting an invite to play in the Legends game.
Initially wanting to decline at first, it took her daughter to get her to agree...at first she seemed like a mismatch but as the game rolled on Min-Ji got into it, feeling the real excitement and rush of the game. She began to see why her daughter was drawn to these things now and maybe, just maybe...if she could get through a game maybe her kid might just do alright in it. From there...Da-Hye got her mom's blessing to sign up for the draft. She might have a few concerns from her inconsistent time in collegiate athletics to those injury concerns even if she'd fought through them well...She could be a very intriguing player to pick up. Her kick ability might be iffy but she's got one of the best sets of hands in the class, excellent for handballs, marking and spoiling.

Weight: 99kg

Birthdate: 11/7/2003
Hometown: Raleigh, NC, USA
Junior Club: International Recruit (United States)
Playing Position: Half-Forward Flank
Bio:
Unlike what they portray in every Christmas movie...male reindeer don't have antlers. Unless your name happens to be Rudolph Kelly...real original name for a reindeer as well. Some could say Rudolph's a case of good things coming together in a bad combination. Born to a prestigious name, but notably born out of an affair...
He'd always do his best to fit in with the family and all the loft and prestige it gave onto him but in the back of his mind he'd always wonder why he felt out of place. Why his antlers never grew big like his uncles and cousins for one thing. From the proud and wide sixteen points Uncle Harlan rocked, to the tall and lengthy rack adorning the head of his cousin Blake...while Rudolph seemed to barely grow his antlers beyond the stumps like many young bucks get in the beginning of puberty.
He had a tendency to be sensitive with a lot of the teasing he'd often be hit with around school and among peers but always showing gratitude for the family that loves him regardless of how weird and out of place he might have been. A lot of nights crying on the couch, into mama's shoulder, to a stuffy...who or whatever would listen.
Eventually he cried to the right person, the school social worker who recommended that he try something different to break his usual mold. It took trying a lot of things...but eventually the football team found a use for him. His deft hands and cervine grace made him great as both a kick returner and slot receiver, perfect guy for third downs and two point conversions. As his teammates would say, 'For the play of your dreams, toss it to sixteen!'.
The most notable fans he'd have in his endeavors, his mother of course but also his cousin Blake. If he needed encouragement he could look to the stands for those two. They say you only need one good reason to play...lucky for Rudolph he had two when he looked. From freshman to senior year it was quite the transformation. He had confidence, he had ferocity, he had...a smile on his face. Even if playing through nagging injuries...
While he was by definition an iron man through high school he often played while nursing or hiding a lot of soreness and strains. Half the time back from a game, he'd be laid out on the couch sore and occasionally tearing up in pain. His love of the game just powered him more than the pain he felt. But colleges might not exactly like hearing about that...what was Rudolph to do? He didn't wanna lose the game that made him so happy...especially seeing how Blake'd made his basketball dreams come true. He wanted to hear his name called and go on stage...But with his body beat up like this...passing a sports physical for college seemed dodgy. And joining out of high school? Maybe a late round pick if lucky...
Though maybe there was something else available...He'd remembered hearing stories of good talents from the states going over the the FAFL and where they might've just been average, bench-warming players and blossoming into true stars there. Maybe there was where Rudolph's future lay? Mama promised she'd be there wearing a copy of his jersey to cheer him on all the way after all...even Blake gave his word he'd attend what games he could. All the reasons he needed to play...what other answer did he need?

Weight: 125kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 17/10/2002
Hometown: Blackheath, NSW
Junior Club: Wollongong (Sydney FAFL)
Playing Position: Half-Back Flank
Bio:
On name alone one wouldn't expect to see this guy walking along the streets of Blackheath. But hey, every place has their transplants. Mikhail is very much one of them. His parents had elected to spend their latter years down under after success and early retirements. Mikhail always had a rather cushy and easy life, the family's hard earned wealth just a part of that.
Growing up he had a big appetite without a doubt, Mikhial was the rambunctious kid who you'd see late at night with a paw in the cookie jar...and whatever held treats pretty much. Turned out that paired with a lack of exercise, it led to him becoming a very chubby kid. Naturally worried, his folks signed him up into sports hoping to get his weight back under control.
It was very hard at first, Mikhail barely managing to make it through warmups most days before struggling to even breathe. The first time he ever had to really work towards anything in life. While he hated the exercise, he began to at least like the game of footy through all of this. The coaches gassing him up, saying he'd play when he got stronger was the sole reason. It was a long, long process but as years in the program went by Mikhail was able to handle more and more before he got the clear to play...even if just barely making the weight limit.
From childhood to his teenage years it grew from a like to a love of the game, going from just another kid to someone wanting to play at the best possible level he could. He was starting to kick the ball well, he was learning when to handball it, when to push and when to give the ball to a teammate. All part of his process into becoming a player...however one thing he realized that might stifle him a bit...seemed like the weight refused to all come off. He was always a jumper size bigger than his peers...
He felt almost ashamed...looking at the greats who played before he never looked like them in stature. How'd he fit into that mold? All the hard work never seemed to trim him down. Good as he could play already, the questions lingered how good would he be lighter? Hard as he tried, he eventually realized he'd just have to be his best like this...
Wollongong thought they could squeeze the best out of him, maybe thinking 'Hey, pudgy player, gotta be the next Jay Samuelson.'...and while best may be questionable, they did push Mikhial to the point where he'd get his style down pat. He might not have been as swift as other players but his build made him hard to tackle as well as a sturdy tackler himself. Not to mention a decent kicking leg on him, booting it across the midfield like it was nothing...
Entering the draft he'll be interesting to consider. In a speed based game, he focuses more on steady footing and utilizing his rocket of a kicking leg, accuracy be damned.

Bio:
Clark was born into an upper-middle class family who lived only a stone's toss away from the Jervis Bay Territory south of Sydney. There was ample opportunity for him to partake in outdoor recreation, and he gleefully did so as soon as he could support his weight on his tail. His first love was surfing and bodyboarding up at Culburra Beach. This kept him in shape, and he even won a couple local youth contests.
At age 13, he was encouraged by friends to play in the Aussie Rules youth club during the winter months. Being in shape with strong legs, he became great at jumping off and marking compared to the other kids. Nobody was particularly happy about his ball-handling skills, often penalizing the team or simply forgetting to bounce the ball, so coaches felt Clark should either improve his base skills or bulk up & go wild on defense. His body gave the answer to that one: he never grew quite tall enough to compete well when matched against full-forwards. He has remained as
a center half-forward since 16.
Limitations were abound, however. He poured his heart and soul into surfing, but at 17, he was told that due to an inner-ear issue after a riptide incident, he’d contend with subtle balance issues for a couple years. It made things too difficult to compete on the waves. So, he doubled down on his Aussie Rules efforts and succeeded enough in that last year to be considered for higher clubs. Now at the age of 19, Clark hopes to extend his value into the FAFL.

While his mother and teenage sister were all for the idea of playing, his father was harder to please on the matter. His father saw Alex's laid-back demeanor a sign of laziness and figured he would be a screw-up. However, after he made the US FAFL team, he began to warm up to his son's goal and even spoke with some connections to get the National Team a charter jet to the International Cup game. Auger tried to get a team in Wellington but with Wellington being used as a potential expansion point for the FAFL (an expansion location that would be granted a team in late 2020), Auger had to join the nearby Napier instead.
While Auger was a decent athlete at school, she wasn’t exactly the most gifted athlete out there and for her to do well at Napier, she would need to hone her craft and work on learning the skills of the sport and putting them in action. During her first season at Napier, She did not do very well as she struggled to put the theory in action and struggled at Back Pocket.
However, as things progressed for Sandra throughout following seasons; The Flying Squirrel started to get the hang of things on the field and started to become not only a good backline player but one of the High Flyers of the NZFFL. Sandra tried to get herself into the FAFL via the Expansion Draft when Wellington and Cairns came into the comp but failed to get the eye of Wellington and Cairns and were forced to head back to the NZFFL if they wanted to continue their footy career.
In 2021, Sandra went back to Napier and made it their goal to make it to the FAFL in 2022. Thankfully for her, She would catch the eye of scouts in 2021 thanks to her defensive play and her leadership skills that she had built up during her years helping out the local community.
Having now put her name into the Draft, Sandra hopes to be picked up and to become the future leader of a team by trying to foster a good culture around her, Even if she isn’t a leader off the bat.

Playing Position: Half Back Flank
Bio:
Growing up in the suburb of Blacktown in New South Wales, Armin Fingle was always trying to break out of the mold. Being a member of a poor family, Armin was never fortunate in terms of having the means or opportunities to make a name for himself in the world when he was young.
However, what was there was his love of the game of Australian Rules Football. While the local team in East Sydney mostly struggled during his childhood, Armin was always there to cheer them on in any way he could. While he couldn’t be at most games, He was able to be at quite a few of them throughout the years. While things would not normally be great for East Sydney, It would spur him on to joining his local team.
While his skills were rough at first and most of his equipment second hand, He showed a lot of promise in his first season and time would be the key on if he would be a potential future star and just being an average player who wouldn’t make it to the FAFL. While it was slow progress at times, Armin slowly became a dependable Half Back Flank for Blacktown. While he isn’t the flashest player in the Draft, He is certainly looking like one of the more dependable picks if a team is willing to develop him to the FAFL level.

Junior Club: North Hobart (TSFFL)
Playing Position: Centre Half-Forward
Bio:
When it comes to members of the lower working class in Australia, You normally come to think of them as people who hoon around in poorly maintained Furd or Foalden sedans, have mullets, wear blue singlets with fluro workwear, Listen to classic rock and drink loads of cheap beer. These types of people are normally called bogans. A lot of people tend to find the lifestyle pretty unappealing but some people see it as a way of life. For Ozzie Waterhouse, It’s the latter.
Growing up in Hobart to a family of bogans, Ozzie was always ingrained with the culture. He would join his father on trips to the local wreckers to get parts for the family’s old Furd Falcon. Go down to the local footy game each Saturday Afternoon and grow his hair out until it was long and messy.
Of course, With him going to the local footy each weekend. It wouldn’t be long before he would join the local footy club as a player. As he progressed up the junior ladder, It was easy to tell how much of a talent he was. He took like a duck to water as a Centre Half-Forward and became a top prospect thanks to his ability to kick big bags of goals and stand out thanks to his stereotypical bogan looks.
Behind the scenes, Ozzie also became a locker room favorite. With his he’ll be right attitude,
he got along well with his teammates and made himself a well liked figure across the league. The kinda guy who would belt the crap out of you during the game but would buy you a beer afterwards.
As he rose up the ranks of the North Hobart Football Club, He would become a bigger deal in the Tasmanian Football Scene and eventually caught the eyes of the FAFL scouts due to his ability to be a friendly face while also being able to be a top forward who can change the game on a dime and provide much needed forward line power. After a brilliant 2021 in the TSFFL, Ozzie has put his name into the FAFL Draft and is looking forward to the future of his career but be certain, He’ll still be the bogan he’s always been while doing it.

Bio:
Coming in from Western Australia, Ashley Benest-Cordy has been one of the top talents coming through the pipeline and has the chance to be a generational talent in the mold of Rudy Walker but she will need to hit the ground running when she makes it to the FAFL.
Playing for Claremont in the WAFFA, The Young Regent Honeyeater has been highly rated as a player since she started to go up the WA system. Even from an early age, She was seen as the next Rudy Walker by the WA press. She had shown that she knows the ABCs of Football but with all of this hype and all of this pressure from the WA football public, This has given Ashley a bit of anxiety problem and an unwillingness to talk to the public.
This has also played an effect on her play as during big games, Ashley has known to struggle and seize up under the pressure of performing well in these big games. If Ashley is going to make it in the FAFL, That is something that her team is going to need to work on and help her overcome. If they are to treat her like she can handle it off the bat without help, She’ll likely flounder and end up being unable to live up to the hype.
Ashley Benest-Cordy has the opportunity to make it big but time will tell if she will be able to as trying to be the next Rudy Walker is certainly going to be big shoes to fill.

In Australian culture, There’s normally a bit of state pride from where you come from. Victorians are proud about being from Victoria, Tasmanians are proud about being from Tasmania and so forth but there’s one state that goes above and beyond about it… Queensland. And being a Queensland native, Sam Gillmeister is very proud of where he’s come from and he won’t let you forget.
Coming up through the QSFFL junior system, Sam always had the dream of representing Queensland on the national stage. This would motivate Sam to become a hard hitting Backline player who took no crap from anyone. During his junior career, There would be several incidents where Sam would get very antsy with someone and start to show that Queensland spirit and fight back. This would get him a reputation of being a firebrand and willing to get into a fight if he felt it was necessary to get the win.
While Sam wasn’t exactly getting a good rep, He was showing that he could be a decent Backline player along with being a pain in the sides of his opponents. In fact, In big moments. Sam was showing that he could be very dependable and able to stop his opponents from making an impact. While some scouts have written him off as a liability due to his incidents, Others have seen it as just his enthusiasm for the game and that he can be an asset with his ability to fire up his team.
Time will tell who will take a chance on Sam but he knows no matter where he goes, He’ll be representing Queensland and this fish is hoping to be Queensland’s Best.

Living in the Outback can be a very different experience than living in a major city. You’re a part of a close knit community but at the disadvantage of being very isolated from everyone else. You’re in a very unique part of the world but have to put up with unbearable temperatures at times.
Buster Bush comes from one of these places and it’s made him a hardened presence on the football field.
Growing up on the family’s property near one of the local Diamond Mines, The family didn’t really have much in terms of stuff and were pretty much living on what they could find in the mine. Due to this, Buster couldn’t really do much or be gifted the luxuries that other kids would have. This would harden Buster and would teach him to be grateful for what he has and to take any opportunity he has by the horns.
With not much to do at his family’s house, Buster would have to do stuff outside the house to keep himself entertained during the weekends and the main thing in town was the Aussie Rules team. During the weekends, Buster would hang out around the team and watch their matches from U-12 to the Seniors. This would give Buster the idea to try-out and join the team.
While Buster was a little bit slow to begin with, His knowledge of the game was excellent. It would take a while but Buster would slowly mold himself into a hardened Backline player who knew where he needed to be to be the most effective out there.
Buster has now forgo a year at Tennant Creek to enter the draft a year early. While some question why he’s gone through with this plan, Buster is ready to show that he wants to take this opportunity by the horns and give the FAFL his best shot.

Coming from the Waverley Football Club, Oscar Crisp has become infamous for his antics on the field. Several of them have included him… Running through the opposition’s huddle during Three Quarter Time, Stepping on the head of his opponent and Karate chopping his opponent’s jaw.
He’s been a very controversial figure in the Junior Ranks but he does have an upside of being a decent Half Back player who can play very defensive football. While Oscar can stop his opponents in his tracks, His methods to do so are quite prone to giving away Free Kicks. Whoever drafts him will have to try and calm him down and keep his tendencies to act out to a minimum.
Besides that, He is very much a team player who will do anything to get the team across the line and is quite the good teammate. He’ll be very likely to get along well with the coaches… As long as it doesn’t involve his methods of defense. Bio:
Coming from privilege as a member of the wealthy Broadbent family, Edward Broadbent III has always gotten what he’s wanted and when there has been something that has stood in his way that prevents him from getting what he wants, He makes sure to find a way to get around it.
Edward sees himself as the next star of the FAFL. The one who will be the benchmark, The one who will be unstoppable. He will be the one who will send the FAFL into a new era. While he might see himself as such in his eyes, This has not endeared him to his teammates who have found him insufferable. This would lead to Edward’s father (Edward Broadbent Jr) to invest into Tuggeranong and force moves from the top to remove coaches and players who were not happy with Edward and replace them with yes people who would suck up to Edward and treat him like a star.
This would have an effect on Tuggeranong’s on-field performance as they would sink down the ladder as these changes would start to take their effect but as a consequence, Edward was able to thrive in this environment and start to let his stats do the talking, Week after week. He would be kicking bags of goals and would leave his solo competition in the dust. While Edward’s stats looked amazing, They only told half the story. To get Edward to these numbers, The rest of the team suffered and looked terrible. For most of the season, It looked like the team was playing to give the ball to Edward instead of doing what they were meant to, which was playing to win.
These changes by the Broadbents to give their son the best opportunity to look like a star were not appreciated by the fans of Tuggeranong. They might have been getting a boatload of cash to do this but they were looking like a joke on the field by doing so. This would lead to a fan revolt that saw the members vote out Edward Broadbent Jr and his accomplices from the board and take back control of their team. Due to this, Edward Broadbent III would enter his name into the Draft a year early. While Edward says it’s because he has shown that he is ready to go to the FAFL level, Fans of Tuggeranong believe that it is because he won’t be getting preferential treatment at Tuggeranong from now on, His stats will take a nosedive and prove that he is not a star. Edward replied to those comments saying they were jealous of his talent.
Time will tell if Edward can make it in the FAFL however. He will need to prove his worth on talent and not on cash. Only then will he be able to prove that he is as good as he says he is.

Playing Position: Ruckfur
Bio:
If there is a physical embodiment of the type of buff muscular guy who spends all his free time in the gym while also asking his fellow friends, “Do you even lift bro?”. Jared Finch is the perfect example.
Growing up as a big fan of Strongbeast contests, Jared Finch has always wanted to grow bigger and stronger. Since his Teenage Years, He’s been bodybuilding and putting on as much muscle as he could. However, If Jared was to be able to be more than just a flexing bodybuilder. He would have to build up his endurance and strength and the one way to do it was to play a sport.
Jared was always a tall guy and that was going to limit his options. He could either be a basketballer or try Aussie Rules as a ruckfur. As Jared felt that Basketball was going to need him to have a lot more Leg Days than Aussie Rules at the gym (His words, Not ours.), He tried out as a Ruckfur at Ingle Farm.
The recruiters were already impressed with his size and muscle but would have their jaws drop to the floor when the Muscled-Up Meathead ended up being the best ruck out of the bunch that tried out. Jared was instantly given a spot on the team as soon as the try-out was finished. The Giant Roo celebrated by lifting up one of the trainers in excitement.
Since joining Ingle Farm, Jared has grown an enthusiasm for the game and has since seen him go from just using it to try and build up his credentials for a Strongbeast career to him actually wanting to make it to the FAFL and become a top ruckfur in the game. Luckily for Jared, He was able to improve on his skills as his time at Ingle Farm went on and slowly became the team’s main weapon. Due to his size and height, He was very hard to muscle out of the way and because of this, He became Ingle Farm’s immovable object. The unstoppable ruckfur who couldn’t be moved.
This would give Jared a big reputation as a future star. The Kangaroo would take that reputation and use it as an excuse to build up more muscle and get even more “swole”. Some say that this constant working out could backfire on him at some point but at the moment, Jared is happy with his workout progress and his playing ability. So much so that he has put his name into the 2022 FAFL Draft Pool. Finch hopes to take the FAFL by storm in the same way as he did in the SANFFL and potentially release his own workout program at some point. Hey, You gotta be good at fitness to do one of those and Jared certainly thinks he is.

Height: 178cm
Weight: 62kg
Kicking Foot: Right
Birthdate: 12/02/2000
Hometown: Nimbin, New South Wales
Junior Club: Carrara (QSFFL)
Playing Position: Full Forward
Bio:
Being born in Nimbin, It’s very likely that you’re going to encounter a certain type of illicit substance very quickly. While most cities tend to hide away those type of substances, Nimbin is very proud of what they grow and provide. So much in fact that they are the “Marijuana Capital of Australia”. To come from a place like Nimbin, You are very likely to indulge in the “Wacky Tobaccy”. And Tracy Twist is certainly one of those figures.
Growing up in the village, Tracy’s parents were a part of the counterculture that had taken up residence there. Both were big stoners and moved to Nimbin to be a part of the community up there. Being a part of this community, Tracy was introduced to it very early in her life. She wasn’t allowed to use it at the time but she very much knew what this herb was, why people used it and why they wanted it legalized. Seeing how the city itself was so ingrained in the culture, Tracy didn’t really think much of it.
As time passed on, Tracy did realize that Nimbin was quite different to the rest of Australia. Even going to nearby Lismore was like a different world to Nimbin. While you’d think that the outside world would perhaps change her views on Nimbin, it very much did the opposite. She was very much in favor of legalizing Marijuana and would take that fight to wherever she would go.
Another one of Tracy’s passions was footy. Growing up in New South Wales, The main sport that people play is Rugby League but with Nimbin being quite counterculture, A lot of them created a local Aussie Rules team to try and peeve off some of the locals. The team was never any good but the locals seemed to enjoy them. It was this team where Tracy started her junior career.
By far and away, She was the team’s best player but that wasn’t saying much as the team was a mostly amatur affair that used players of all-ages to field a team. After a few years of causing issues with the local amatur league, The team was forced to disband as no-one wanted to deal with their shenanigans. This would force Tracy to have to find another team elsewhere if she wanted to continue with her junior career. However, One would come calling almost instantly after the Nimbin team folded.
Carrara in the QSFFL were very interested in Tracy and after a try-out, Was given a spot on the Carrara squad. Tracy herself was pretty rough to begin with as going from mostly amateurs to mostly players trying to make it to the FAFL was quite the whiplash at first and while she showed that she did have the potential to make it as a player, She would need time to get up to the level she needed to be.
While that would take more time than most, The coaches at Carrara were incredibly willing to give Tracy the time she needed to improve her craft. As time went on, Tracy would become one of the top forwards in the QSFFL with her accurate Right Foot. The Full Forward position would be perfect for her as due to her “alleged” use of illicit substances, Could be slow at times in terms of response.
After a few seasons in the QSFFL, Tracy Twist is ready to give the FAFL a shot. She has the potential to make it as a major forward but considering her love for the sticky green stuff, she might want to make sure she’s clean during the season.

Bio:
Growing up in New Zealand, Ollie Knaggs would never have known that much about Aussie Rules. It would be a lot later in life when Ollie would find out about the sport and his life would never be the same. Before Ollie found out about the sport, His first love was Robot Combat.
Watching shows like Robot Rumble and DangerDrones gave Ollie the need in his eyes to build a fighting robot. While it would take time for Ollie to join a course at his high school to build one, When he got the opportunity, He took it by the horns. Ollie would go all out with what the team had to design and with their robot, Dominated the New Zealand competition. Their dominance would get them a spot on the revival of Robot Rumble and while they struggled somewhat against the veterans of the competition, They still managed an amicable placing by the end of the season. It was by this time that Ollie had found out about Australian Rules Football.
During the filming for that season, Ollie learned of the sport thanks to an Australian Team who were also competing. As soon as Ollie got to see a bit of the game, He was hooked. He desperately wanted to give this game a shot and as soon as they got back home to New Zealand, Was on the lookout to see if there was a local team that he could play for.
Luckily for Ollie, There was a team in his hometown in Auckland. And thanks to that, Ollie started to train with them. While Ollie wasn’t exactly the textbook example of an athlete, He had still kept himself somewhat fit throughout his life. As he continued to train, He started to become match-fit and showed that he was a fast learner too.
As soon as Ollie broke into the side as a Forward Pocket, He became a vital part of the Auckland forward line and started to show to the scouts out there that he was a player to watch for in the draft.
While he elected to stay in the NZFFL for another year instead of going into the draft last year, He is now ready to enter his name into the FAFL Draft and go up to the next level. It’s taken Ollie a bit to get here but now the world is ready to see what Ollie Knaggs can do.

Bio:
Growing up the Daughter of a Golf Legend is always going to be pretty hard. Especially if that Golf Legend is a mainstay of the Australian Sporting Public. For Sammi Hodgson, It meant a lot of time near the Golf Green and a lot of time in the spotlight when she was trying to break out and become her own name.
As the Daughter of Golf Legend, Bob Hodgson, Sammi Hodgson was always going to be an athlete even if it wasn’t going to involve Golf. While most did expect her to follow in her father’s footsteps on the Golf Circuit, Sammi never cared for the sport of golf. She found it too slow paced and boring. She wanted to play a sport that was more exciting than what her father was known for, She wanted to play Aussie Rules Football instead.
While she wanted to play Aussie Rules, It was very hard to play when she was dragged to the nearest golf course almost every weekend to help her father train for the next tournament or be dragged to the next tournament that her father was playing in. It made her a very inconsistent presence in her junior team at training and when playing. For her to truly get a shot, She’d have to break away from her father and take on Footy full time as her hobby.
While it was tough to break the news to her father, He was supportive of the decision and was willing to give her the space she needed to be able to set herself up successfully. After the decision was made, She and the rest of the family stayed back on the Gold Coast while Bob would go on to the tournaments himself. While it would be somewhat tough on the family, It was what would be needed for Sammi to be able to go on with Aussie Rules and potentially a career in the sport.
With the distraction of being dragged around the world with her father to where he would play his tournaments gone, Sammi was able to focus on her football and put in 100% effort. Thanks to this, She would be able to turn into a formidable Ruck Rover with the ability to outrun her opponents and be able to handball like no-ones business. This in turn would not only get the attention of scouts but the attention of the media who knew who she was.
It would make her final year in the QSFFL hell as not only would she have to impress the scouts looking at her but would have to put up with the media hounding her about her father and hyping her up to be the next big though. It was very tough on Sammi but she would get through it and prove to be one of the top Ruck Rovers in the country.
Sammi has had to fight hard just to get here but she has proven that she can take the heat and is ready to take the FAFL by storm. Just like her father did in the Golfing World.

Bio:
Becoming a star on social media normally happens randomly and seemingly overnight. This exact thing happened to Jake Honeycutt. One minute, He’s posting funny videos of himself between training sessions and gym sessions. Next minute, He’s now one of Australia’s top Social Media personalities. It was going to make trying to focus on his attempt to make it to the FAFL much harder but when you have the talent of a Jake Honeycutt, It’s second nature.
Growing up in Townsville, The game to play was Rugby League but with Jake being so small compared to his other friends and the local Rugby players being much bigger than him, He was going to have to play a different game if he wanted to get a taste of that rough and tumble style. Luckily for him, There was just the game for him.
Coming into the junior ranks, Jake showed that he had both the energy and quickness needed to excel at the Rover position. Almost instantly, He became one of Queensland’s top prospects and looked to be a shoe-in for a draft selection. Jake Honeycutt looked like he would be the real deal until his social media started blowing up.
In his spare time, Jake would create funny videos with his friends and post them to social media. Over time, Jake’s profile would slowly grow in followers until one video of his blew up on social media and overnight turned him into a social media star. While Jake would be ecstatic at his social media profile becoming very popular, It would also have the side effect of taking attention away from his football training.
For a while, Jake would miss training to take interviews and do Q&As. This would affect him at the club as not only would his performances take a dip but he would be dropped from the squad after one too many training sessions missed. This would give Jake the realization that he still had to put in some effort if he wanted to make it to the FAFL. After being dropped from the squad, He would work his arse off for the rest of the year in training and gain his spot back into the team. As soon as he got back into the team, Jake would play some of the best football he ever has and that would get a lot of people wondering if Jake would forgo another year at North Queensland to go to the FAFL. He would and now he is in the 2022 FAFL Draft Pool.
The FAFL potentially has another star on its hands but if Jake is going to make it, He is going to have to focus on his training and less on his social media.

Birthdate: 20/4/2004

Birthdate: 29/9/2002

Birthdate: 19/3/2001
Hometown: Busan, South Korea

Birthdate: 17/10/2002

Hometown: Hobart, Tasmania

Gender: Female
