Hello everyone! In case you didn't know, past April 21st was the 10th anniversary of the episode "A Canterlot Wedding", and Derpibooru decided to make a quick event to commemorate the occasion. So here I am with this special drawing to celebrate ten years of Shining Armor and Princess Cadance relationship!!! Yay!!!
I thought it was going to be really interesting if I not only included Cadance and Shining Armor, but also their daughter (a bit grown up because some years have passed already). And why not, Queen Chrysalis was also invited to the celebration, but she was only going to eat some "lovely" cake hehe.
This drawing was really hard to do. I dedicated just a few days but it required a lot of effort to draw each character, to invent certain postures and expressions that literally doesn't exist at all and, probably more important, to make a good composition with all the characters in the right place and with the right size. Believe me that it was more complicated than you can expect, but it was worth it!
The final result is, in my humble opinion, really amazing and perfect to celebrate this majestic occasion.

Oh, wow! It is so hard to believe that Cadence and shining Armor have been together for 10 years.

I remember hearing about the royal wedding and how some papers in The United States were actually posting their 'Wedding Announcement' to help get fans excited for the Season 2 finale. (I tried to find one of these newspapers when the announcement was supposed to appear. I was unsuccessful. *Pouts*).

Do you remember your first impressions of Princess Cadence and Shining Armor? Shining Armor did not really get my interest as much as Princess Cadence. Her coloring, voice, and special power to help stop ponies from arguing were just too good. The surprise attack by 'The Changelings' and Queen Chrysalis was also really good in how it actually took the real Cadence and Shining's love to defeat 'The Changelings'. (I have always been a big fan of 'love conquers all'.).

I wonder how the happy couple looks 10 years after their big day? Both Cadence and shining really had to work hard since getting married. They first had to vanquish Chrysalis. Then, likely not too long after, had to travel to the frozen north to prepare for the return of 'The Crystal Empire'. They then had to ready themselves to host 'The Equestrian Games' while helping to bring the Crystal Ponies up to date on what had happened over the past 1,000 years. Next would be having to take on Tirek.
After Tirek's attack, I imagine Cadence and Shining thinking that life would slow down enough to start a family. This brought us the first naturally born Alicorn, Flurry Heart. The sleepless nights certainly did not help prepare the royal couple for Thorax's arrival and definitely did not put the Royal Crystal Family in a place to be at their best to not be captured and imprisoned by a vengeful Queen Chrysalis.
The Royal Family got a little break until Discord, disguised as Grogar, revied King Sombra. Then they had even more scary trouble when Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow prepared to make their move on taking over Equestria.
*Phew* I would believe celebrating their 10th Anniversary would be nice with Equestria safe from all evildoers, Twilight as its leader, and all the neighboring nations united through friendship.

Hehe that thing of the newspapers sounds really curious. I remember perfectly almost everything about this wedding. I became a brony in September of 2012 and the episodes were released in Spanish the same December of that year. Curious fact, those two episodes were the first ones released of the second season instead of following the true order. I watched them already a few months before of that by my own when I was catching up the series (at that moment only starting the third season). I really loved the episodes so much, but yeah, I neither created like an strong relationship with those two, but well, I think I started to appreciate them with the time. I loved the changelings, the whole battle and most especially, the songs. By the way, I still have marked in my mind the experience of watching A Canterlot Wedding in Spanish. It was a Saturday, December 1st, 2012, like 6 P.M. I did just finish all my college activities of that semester that same day. It was a wonderful experience for me.

Very interesting. Having 'A Canterlot Wedding' start Season 2 really makes you imagine the events that occur during Season 2 in an entirely different way.
'Lesson: Zero' after 'A Canterlot Wedding' would be a strong follow-up compared to what I feel 'Return to Harmony' set us up for for Season 2.

Well. Literally several things doesn't have sense in this order, but yeah, it was interesting, except that I already knew the right order and all the episodes of the season. But no, after those two episodes it continued with the normal order, so the Return to Harmony was just after it.
