At some point in the Moo Mesa roleplay at Discord, The Masked Bull breaks out of Cow Town jail with help from Grizzly Gruff, leader of the Rough Riders gang and plotting to capture Sarah Sheep since she is a witness to testify against the mayor of Cow Town and the Masked Bull, right before two of the gang members Carson Coyote and Walker Wolfgang use hospital disguises to sneak in the Dog Town Hospital to capture Boot Hill by pretending to be staff members that came out of the operation room, but had stripped two orderlies of their uniforms before making their way to there and pouring sleeping tonic inside herbal tea to give Harmony and Boot Hill's mother, insisting that it will prevent them from catching any sicknesses, but places the two in a deep sleep so they can't be able to see them take Boot Hill outside in a wheelchair where a jail wagon awaits to place him inside and take him all the way to their hideout that is located inside a lost, silent and forgotten ghost town by the name of Buzzard's Tusk.
Despite having been able to rescue Sarah and Boot Hill from an unlawful execution in the gallows, the heroes suspect that Buzzard's Tusk may not be all that forgotten as it seems, judging by condition of the jail wagons, the jail house, and courthouse, gallows included that seem to be in much better repaired shape than the rest of the buildings that have been torn apart and some burned to the ground. As Boot Hill suffers from some kind of breakdown after the rescue, Brandon tries hard to convince him that he is not responsible for what his ancestors did long ago in the great war. And the heroes will later plan to have a talk with this Mayor Silverwing from Avian City who may possibly know what happened to Buzzard's Tusk, but first have to take Sarah and Boot Hill out of there with the captured outlaws and put the two under protective custody when they arrange for the trial.
There will be a point in the story where Boot Hill falls into one of his dreams and sees himself in Buzzard's Tusk before it became abandoned and forgotten. There he will discover that the town was once inhabited by vulture and buzzard civilians where they lived as farmers, ranchers, coal miners, and lumbermen, living their lives in peace and abundance until the day when these unknown masked marauders on horses invaded the town, terrorizing the civilians and destroying everything in their path. Outnumbered and overwhelmed by the ringleader's forces, the terrified villagers fled their homes that were wrecked and burned down, with most of the others killed and hunted down like wild animals, and only a few escaping with their lives. Boot Hill's grandparents from both his mother and father's side were one of those survivors that managed to flee and start new lives elsewhere. Others that did survive, but unable to make their escape might have been captured and taken to federal prison without a trial or sold as slaves elsewhere. And although Boot Hill could not get a good look at the face of the ringleader wearing a hood over his head, he was able to see his beak that looked to be the shape and color of an eagle.
