Here are the steps of how to get it the right size:
1. upload it as per normal
2. once uploaded click on the "change submission file" button below the picture
3. Find the image you just uploaded (the meme) and select it
4. submit it on the next screen
5. once it is big, don't click on it as this would reset it to the small version again
6. it should be the right size now (for the first time you view it through FA and when you download it), despite how it looks on the screen later on.
