Straymon are some of the most despised Rookie level Digimon in both the Digital World and the Real World. They have a nasty reputation of never working with others. Even when they do, they're never trustworthy. To make matters worse, they work with the equally notorious Gypsimon. Many try to deceive others with the fake Holy Ring around its tail although it only works with Digimon of intelligence lower than a Sukamon or can't read the Digicode that says "Fake". They are especially hated by the majority of the Royal Knights for some reason.

Okay, I'm having a bit too much fun with this. Mind you I made 4 entire Digimon lines for that fanfiction that I wrote. However, I only really got to introduce three of them. Including Raccoomon, is Straymon here and my first Digimon "Snowmon", but let's talk about Straymon here. Yes, he look like what would happen if a Gatomon and a Gazimon had a baby. That's kind of the point. Another purposeful design choice as it hints the thin line that Straymon has to walk between both good and evil.

It's kind of unfortunate that the online custom card maker isn't equipped to create dual type Digimon yet, but that's okay. Straymon's partner Guinevere was a rich high society (French) girl. Despite Straymon's reputation, she very specifically chose her Straymon over any other. For this reason, her Straymon in specific is extremely loyal to her. Like how Gaomon was for Thomas, but he calls her Mistress and does everything in his power to be her outstanding butler and bodyguard. Turns out that the so-called reputation (both Straymon and his evolved form Gypsimon), were mostly self-fulfilling prophesies. If I ever get around to actually drawing a Gypsimon (male version, because like Burgermon there are two forms) I'll go into more detail as to why these particular rumors were spread in the first place.

This particular Straymon also possesses something that I call a "Battle Glitch". These are abilities that are unique to certain individual Digimon that make them unique to even their own Digimon species. And just like real "Glitches", Battle Glitches are unwanted in the Digital World. So, this Straymon is an outcast even with his own species. Straymon's in particular allows him to cut holes between the worlds. It's how he ran away to the Real World in the first place and met the love of his life Partner, Guinevere. This is why the inherited effect is to grant Piercing. I would include it in the main effect, but it kind of slipped my mind until now...

Guinevere wants Straymon to start fighting for himself instead of her. Or at the very least, call her by her actual name, though she doesn't mind being called Mistress either. Straymon in turn wants nothing more than her happiness for not only saving his life, but for truly believing the good in him

One last thing: I realize that some people are offended by the term "Gypsy" and what it represents, but I see it more like in the Disney version of Hunchback of Notre Dame. They're hated and despised for no real reason and are depicted as nasty in many forms of media. Sure, there are bad Gypsimon, but the same could be said of any Digimon. Guilmon (if you actually read his lore) also has a bad reputation, even in Tamers. That's why he's called Guilmon. It's short for "Guilty".

In case I never get around to designing Gypsimon, I might as well say the entire intended line here:
Straymon => Gypsimon
(Male & can split between Virus, Data and Vaccine forms depending on which one is the most useful for protecting Guinevere. The only real visual difference are the wings, bat-Virus, angel-Vaccine and Eagle-Data.)
Gypsimon => Wisemon
