Jasmine was one of my early RP characters, developed for a Neverwinter Nights persistent RP Server set near Zhentil Keep back in the early 2000s. Sadly, I've not been able to use her yet in actual tabletop.
She embodies my favorite kind of rogue character - not someone who'll pick your pockets for loose change, but an infiltration expert capable of getting in and out of wherever she wishes. A sneaky fighter who uses her agility and strength to its utmost when confronted, rather than relying on backstabbing her opponents.
I also enjoy how her particular parentage compliments each other, unlikely as it is. Diametrically opposed alignments and mortal blood frees her form being shackled to Lawful Evil. Her demonic feline heritage grants agility, while the draconic aspects enhance her strength to match. Defensively, both demonic hide and dragon scales protect in different ways that compliment, rather than overlap. Even their natural proclivities work together - her brass dragon ancestry is known for their fondness for talking, which pairs up well with a Rakshasa's natural charisma and good looks(whether shapeshifted or not) to talk her way into and out of trouble.
The paired scimitars here even referance her dual-sided nature, with each utilizing opposed elements in their enchantment - something I brought forward from her NWN incarnation.
Now, given that I know more about D&D Rakshasa and can easily find more info about their various incarnations, I recently rebooted her backstory a bit, as her original incarnation was honestly a bit milquetoast. While the above still exemplifies her, I've tweaked her backstory to provide some potential explanations for the differences in her features(compared to "canon" Rakshasa) that are unexplained by her dragonblood, such as the hair and hands, and to better reflect Raksahsa society, such as it is.
Maybe someday she'll finally make it out of Sigil, the city of doors, and into someone's campaign, but at least until then I can share her art with all of you!
Speaking of which, this art was done by
