Whilst not a typical donut, my local donut place makes all these interesting combinations of flavors. One of the BEST ones they ever made was a donut with peanut butter and banana cream, sprinkled with bacon bits. They called it "The Elvis" after the sandwich, hah. Sounds weird but...it's good af.
Quite a few years ago we were visiting friends in Portland, and Voodoo Doughnuts was fairly new there, and already famous/notorious, so we had to check it out.
One of their more notorious choices was the maple and bacon donut, which, of course, I had to try.
It was... Interesting.
Huge, a bit of a bomb, and tasted sorta like a breakfast in donut form. Don't know if I'd actually order it again, but it wasn't bad or anything. It was interesting to try.

I find my fave donut picks change from time to time, and it depends on what's best where you're getting them, but currently I've been enjoying sugared donuts, maple or chocolate iced.
Our friend here's choice of a custard filled chocolate iced version ain't half bad either.
