So my egg cracked a little over a week ago when I realized I wasn't joking when I said I wish I had a vulva, amongst a bunch of other things that should have queued me in a lot sooner in hindsight: instantly jumping at the chance to try wearing almost exclusively skirts and womens' clothes as soon as I moved from Florida to Seattle; wishing I had breasts; a gradual and unintentional shift to drawing my fursona as more and more femine over this last year; a wish to be a mommy; a love of being called a "good girl", "pretty", "beautiful", even more so than their masculine equivalents...

It was a bit of an earth-shattering realization that led to a bunch of self-doubt and imposter syndrome, but when I mentioned it to my roommate (whom is also trans herself), she admitted that she had clocked me as an egg for a while. Upon coming out to a few other friends, many of them also shared similar sentiments that they could see my egg cracking for a while now, and that they're proud of me. It was extremely validating and the perfect antidote to the imposter syndrome, but also makes me wonder how I was just about the only one whom didn't realize I was trans for so long.

Anyway, I think for lack of a better term I'm comfortable as a "nonbinary trans woman", or simply a "trans woman" or even "woman": I enjoy the freedom of being nonbinary, but I also do feel my gender is a lot closer to that of a woman than I had previously realized. If I had to describe the axioms of my gender, it'd be as follows:

I'm a woman.
I'm a woman, but I'm also Chrys.
Sometimes I do woman things,
But mostly I do Chrys things,
And the two often overlap.
