A few weeks ago on Kaerwyn, Lindsey met a newcomer: Andi, the post-humanity futuristic dolphin anthro! They hit it off reasonably well as Lindsey helped her acclimate to her arrival on Kaerwyn.
Later, they ran into each other again, when Lindsey was temporarily in Luminari form. Andi, never having seen them before, was quite insistent they go swimming in the lake together! And while Andi is quite comfortable in long dives, being naturally capable, Lindsey seems less certain, this being her first time breathing with gills!
I'm sure she'll relax after a bit.

The overwhelming majority died. There were a few last-ditch attempts at the end, but none lasted more than a few centuries.
And as far as they know, no. FTL travel of a sorts has been invented, but a proper mission to other stars hasn't launched yet. And there hasn't been any sign of other life, or word from any generation ship launched before the collapse.
