Two Hearts, Finally Reunited~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a village veiled by sorrow's mist,
Tales of woe and dark trysts.
The human lover, of legend's grand beast,
Bore the weight of disdain, to say the least.
"To darkened woods, he's pledged his soul,"
They murmured, casting a damning toll.
"To creatures lurking, when nightfall nears,
He's betrayed us all, confirming our fears."
Bound in chains, through streets he's dragged,
His spirit broken, his dignity flagged.
Whispers of deceit, and love's cruel game,
Stung sharper than the whip, igniting the flame.
The cold stone square, a stage of despair,
Eyes hollowed by pain, yet the crowd could but stare.
Each moment, an eternity of throes and disdain,
His life seeping out, love's ultimate bane.
Amidst the haze of torment and parting life,
His voice, a whisper, cutting the strife:
"I still remember your smile, so bittersweet,
That sealed my doom, laid me at their feet."
And as darkness claimed, a tear did depart,
The weight of love breaking one final heart.
Though they judged him, in death he found glee,
With his monstrous love, eternally free.
