“My friend Lucia has a strange thing she has to do as guardian of her island. There is this place called the ‘Pit of Courage’ where anyone who touches the liquid in it is turned into some evil beast. She has to purify it now and then to keep its evil contained, and she does this by having to just sit or float in the liquid for a time. Unfortunately, while she’s doing this no one else can be with her and she can’t play any of her games, so she can’t really do anything to pass the time, which has led her to nickname it the ‘Pit of Boredom’.

Well, as it turns it, I seem to be unaffected by the Pit, I’m not sure how, maybe it has to do with the blessings granted to me by the Primal Forces as part of making me guardian of Nightshade Island. I’m also not sure how I knew, but the first time I accompanied Lucia to the Pit I just knew I’d be safe. So now, when Lucia has to purify the Pit I can go with her and keep her company so she isn’t bored, and I’m happy to do so for my friend.”

From  usagiforehead comes this fun collab between myself and  jurgenblue as part of his 800 watchers giveaway, where we see Ember helping making Lucia’s duties as guardian abit less unpleasant. :)

A nice relaxing picture of Ember spending time with her friend, albeit in a temple of ancient evil, as she works to keep that evil at bay. ;). I really do love the calm, relaxed feel of this picture, as Ember and Lucia are literally just hanging out, chatting. Lucia looks good as she floats there, and the very limited surface ripples show how little movement there is, as she just lays there. Ember also looks good, with her feet dipped in, clearly chatting idly, and happy to be keeping her friend company. The Pit looks good as well, the detailing on the stonework really gives a feeling of its age, and the shine off the surface ripples is very nicely done. Overall, a very nice picture with these two, relaxing, and saving the island. ;)
