“Being Guardian of this island can be tough work, and it seems like there is always so much to do, but it’s important to stop and rest now and then. Even something as simple as sitting for a moment and snacking on a piece of fruit can help ease the burdens of the island.
It can be easy to lose sight of the beauty of the island, amidst all the troubles, but peaceful moments like this really help remind of what a wondrous place this can be.”
Even Island Guardians need a break sometimes and in this picture by
usagiforehead Ember is enjoying a brief peaceful respite from the troubles of the island.
Ember really looks quite peaceful and at ease, relaxing with a piece of fruit, albeit high up in a tree branch. She really has a calm happiness about her as she munches on her fruit. I love the way her hair rests on the branch beside her, before dangling over the side, and this picture gives a nice view of the leaves and flowers of the back of her outfit, which don’t get seen often, and which artists tend to forget about when drawing her. Overall, a nice, but rare, relaxing moment of peace with Ember. :).

Well sometimes she just have to sit back and apricate what she's protecting, even with how many perils this island puts her in. ;)
Still, nice to get one of those very good looking back views of Ember, it is a nice angle on her, and as you say, shows off properly the back leaves that don't always end up getting drawn. ;)

Yeah, with as many perils as she deals with on the island it can be easy to lose sight of what she is protecting, so as you say, sometimes she just needs to take a moment, sit back, and appreciate it. :)
